Where is the thermosat located on the motor ?

With a conventional cooling system, the top radiator hose usually goes to thermostat housing, you have to remove thermostat housing to get at thermostat. You would probably need to drain some of the coolant before removing anything. Your year--make--model didn't post for some reason, so I can't look up any info?

Wher is the thermosat in 2005 GMC canyon pickup

Follow the lot hose to the drivers side of the engine. The thermostat is the part the hose is attached that is bolted to the engine block. You will get the thermostat housing assembly when you purchase the new one. Removing the drivers front wheel inner liner will help make the repair easier.

Where is the thermosat in a 95 oldsmobile

The thermostat is normally located in the aluminium elbow that the top radiator hose connects to. The elbow is usually held down by two bolts and it is only necessary to remove these to replace the thermostat. It may not be necessary to remove any hoses. Take care that the new thermostat is correctly located in its recess and the old gasketing has been completely removed and that the new gasket has a smear of gasket cement on it. While tightening the bolts, make sure that the elbow is seating evenly and not catching on the edge of the thermostat or you could crack the elbow. The coolant sensor is located near the thermostat housing as well. This is what you are looking for:-
