Question about 2006 Lincoln Zephyr

Open Question

I have a 2006 Lincoln Zepher. The airbag light on the dash keeps lite after I have started the car and have been driving. It never shuts off. My warranty of course, just expired 3 weeks ago and I don't want to pay $105.00 just for someone to diagnose the problem. Please help! Thank you!

SOURCE: car starts then stalls immediately

take the alternator off and have it tested at the auto parts store, this is more than likely your problem....

if it is good, then you need ot check your fuel injectors....

SOURCE: Airbag light stays on 2000 Lincoln LS

I had a similar problem with the air bag light and it turned out after testing the problem was a short in the wiring harness under the drivers seat. It aparently had a broken wire from the auto seat moving back and forth on entry and exit. It also has a memory for my wife and I and it also moves back and forth for that reason.
It has started to do it again and I found if I always start with the memory seat in #2 which closest to the steering wheel, {her setting}, then choose #1 setting it works normally. Crazy huh?
Just my experience!!!!!

SOURCE: Random misfire, #4 misfire, and catalytic system below threshold

I own a 2004 V8
Have several hundred dollars in manuals

First -If it has a 3.9V8 it has to use 91 and most likely won't run well even on 93.
Second-the code you got is a PO 304,which is a bad COP Coil On Plug on cylinder #4. That is a common Ford failure. DO NOT replace ALL the Coils
Just replace #4 if that is the code. They are $59.00 and tax at auto part store.
I believe you need a 7mm socket and short 7mm wrench. Remove coil cover on top of valve cover, then coil. All same tools.
Third- FORGET the other codes. The LS will set all kinds of codes that will drive you crazy and go away, once you do the bad coil.
Fourth-one problem does not cause another
Fifth-The threshold bank code, is the result of the misfire and how the O2 Sensor sees things, as a result of incorrect fuel mixture (Misfire)
Make sure your O2 Sensors did not loosen up

Now the bad news

Expect-Coil Issues
- Bad Egr Valve
- Bad Trans Solenoid Trans Pack
Change the trans fluid -Mercon V
Flush the P/S Fluid-Mercon
Flush Brake Fluid
Flush Coolant-Yellow GO5
Cabin Filter- Remove round push pins on plastic wiper cover. Filter below on pass side
Gas Filter- Remove left front tire and loosen inner cover, next to door hinge

Use the OEM Spark Plugs
On a V8 -FR5AP-11E The were Motorcraft made by NGK
NGK-6569
Special Plugs.

Unless you have deep pockets-stay away from the dealer.
This is a very complex vehicle
Forget about gunning it. Baby it.

SOURCE: my driver side seat is

Both of the front seat heaters run off of the same 2 fuses, so the problem is not a fuse if the passenger seat is working. Each seat has a separate electronic control module, so a bad driver's seat module could be the problem. The seatalso has 2 elements - onefor the seat cushion and one for the seat back. If one is heating and the other is not, then the problem is probably a failed element. If neither element is heating, then the moduleis most likely at fault. The modules in the seats are controlled by the Body Control module (BCM), so the problem could also be a fault in the class2 data circuit between the BCM and the driver's seat module.

In any case, a scan of your BCM will probably yield a fault code that will lead you in the right direction.

Disable airbag airbagmodulhave a 2006 lincoln towncar, passenger seat has been removed, airbag light now stays on,how do i bypass the seat occupancy sensor

Its a weight sensitive sensor, so you would probably have to come up with some sort of resistor. I doubt you can bypass it.

My airbag light stays on- on my 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, what can I do?

Check lights such as your SRS (airbag light) have
been on vehicles for 30 years,so you should know
that ANY light on the dash requires retrieving any
codes that may be set & diagnosing from there

That isn't anything many people can do at home
You need a repair shop .

Where is cabin air filter located on 2006 Lincoln Zepher

It is located under both front seats, raise your seats up, and back as far as they can go. You will see that they are round in shape, twist the plastic slightly, and remove them.

Blinking dash light

it must be leaking vapors out the cap. Is it a Ford cap or after market? You can't have ANY fuel vapor escaping through the filler pipe.
