Question about 2003 Honda Element

1 Answer

I have a 2003 Honda Element and I disconnected the power supply, so the radio doesn't work. I then entered the wrong number into the radio and it displays 'error 1'. I now have the correct numbers, but how do I get back to the 'code' screen?

Your vehicle's audio system may disable itself if it is disconnected from electrical power for any reason.
To make it work again, you must enter a specific five-digit code with the preset buttons.
Because there are hundreds of number combinations possible from the five
digits, making the system work without knowing the exact code is nearly impossible.

You should have received a radio code card that lists your audio system's code and serial numbers. {glove box find}
It is best to store this card in a safe place at home. In addition, you should write the audio system's serial number in this owner's manual.

If you lose the card, you must obtain the code number from your dealer.
To do this, you will need the audio system's serial number.

If your vehicle's battery is disconnected or goes dead, or the radio
fuse is removed, the audio system will disable itself. If this happens,
you will see ''ENTER CODE'' in the frequency display (on the screen on models with navigation system) the next time you turn on the system.
Use the preset buttons to enter the five-digit code. The code is on the radio code card included in your owner's manual kit.
When it is entered correctly, the radio will start playing.

If you make a mistake entering the code, do not start over; complete the
five-digit sequence, then enter the correct code. You have 10 tries to enter the correct code.
If you are unsuccessful in 10 attempts, you
must then leave the system on for 1 hour before trying again.

The system will retain your AM and FM presets even if power is disconnected. {only on newer cars'

Need radio code for a 2003 Honda serial numbers areU1110 L9512

The battery was disconnected from my vehicle and now my radio display is flashing "CODE" and the radio doesn't work. Where can I find my radio code? If an audio unit with theft protection is disconnected from electrical power, you must enter a unique code into the unit or it will not work. This code and the audio unit's serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. If this card is lost, you must obtain the audio unit serial number in order to get the radio code. Once you have the audio unit serial number, you can go to the Radio & Navigation System Micro-site to retrieve your radio code. Some newer vehicles allow you to retrieve the audio unit serial number electronically from the radio. Refer to your owner's manual for the specific procedure. Most older vehicles (model year 2003 and older) require a visit to the dealer in order to retrieve the audio unit serial number. If dealer assistance is required to retrieve your serial number, the dealer will be able to provide the radio code as well. They do charge a fortune for this service BUT>>>>.... this website is so much cheaper to obtain along with detailed instructions http://www.radio-code.com/?gclid=CMr1lJPqn6kCFU5qKgodUDlDxA

If this card is lost, you must obtain the audio unit serial number in order to get the radio code. Refer to your owner’s manual for the specific procedure (the following usually will work: Turn the radio off. Push the preset 1, preset 6, and power buttons at the same time, then quickly release.)
. Some older vehicles (model year 2003 and older) require a visit to the dealer in order to retrieve the audio unit serial number. Once you have the audio unit serial number, you can call Auto Customer Service at (800) 999-1009 or have the dealer look up the radio code.
hope this gets you started on the process.

2006 Honda Accord EX replace the battery now radio won't work

Your car’s audio system will disable itself if it is disconnected from electrical power for any reason. To make it work again, you must enter a specific five-digit code in the Preset buttons. Because there are hundreds of number combinations possible from five digits, making the system work without knowing the exact code is nearly impossible.
You should have received a card with your manual(if you have one) that lists your audio system’s code number and serial number. If you don't have the card, you can get the code number from your Honda dealer, but to do this, you will need the system’s serial number, or maybe the accord's vin number.
You will see ‘‘Code’’ in the frequency display the next time you turn on the system. Use the Preset buttons to enter the five-digit code. If it is entered correctly, the radio will start playing.

This is probably the case. Hope this helps.

Honda radio code

either the radio code is wrong or you have locked the radio down you only have three attempts to enter the correct code if this is the case disconnect thenegative battery cable for 10 minutes then reconnect and try again. If the code is wrong the audio unit will have to be removed so you can get the serial number to give to the honda dealership so they can get the correct code

I need a radio code for my stock CD player, could you help me out? If so email me at phan.nguyen@okstate.edu

Did you finance the car? I financed mine through Honda Finance and signed up online for my account and they have the radio code available there. If that isn't an option, you can always go to the dealer for assistance.
I also found this on Honda's website:
