Can u use 1988 535i bmw parts on a 1087 535i bmw

In most instances, yes you can. The 1997 and 1998 models are both built on the E28 platform and are almost identical. There may be some small differences in the cars feature wise but the majority of the parts are the same. What part were you looking for specifically?

I am not familiar with the e28, but on newer BMWs, you can pull up the trunk liner on the right side and reach in and release the gas cap cover.

I am having trouble fixing a problem with the brakes on my bmw e28 535 they ere dragging. i have replaced the pressure flow regulator, accumulator and switches but it hasn't helped. they are still dragging...

Look to be certain that the master cylinder is actually releasing.... there is a pushrod at brake pedal and/or after the assist system, right at the master cylinder.
