Question about Oldsmobile Alero
If they work once and a while the fuse is not the problem. Once a fuse blows it will not supply power to a circuit. I would be more inclined to think that the flasher or the turn signal switch itself is going bad. Both common problems with GM vehicles.
If you can let us know what year and what model I may be able to assist you further. I can tell you that you can find the flasher when the turn signals are working by listening to where the clicking sound is coming from. It will be a lot easier to locate it when it is working than when it stops working.
