It is probably just the electric cooling fan still running, just open the hood and see if the fan behind the radiator is still running.

Electrical maybe

You did not give the year and model, but generally I would start with the key switch. The switch controls everything you mentioned.

I have a grinding/scraping noise when driving forward. It sounded like rear brakes, and I checked/replaced rear parking brake parts that were suspect. Also changed rear drive shaft ujoints after noise...

Good Evening, those noises can be annoying and sometimes hard to find. However it sounds like you have a front hub assembly going bad. Usually the noise goes away when you veer one direction or the other. I have heard some transfer case noises but they usually do not go away on turns. Check those front hub-wheel bearing assemblies and see what you come up with. Hope this points you in the right direction.

I've been hearing a faint buzzing noise at the rear wheel and today I had smoke there too. What is that about? I've also had some noise while steering sometimes but recently had the fluids checked and...

Noises are are to diagnoise without hearing them myself but ill list some checks for you to do. first, jack up the wheel and check it turns freely with the hand brake off, make sure you have carbon left on your pads, you might need brakes. second check the brake disk isnt wore with a lip and the steel from the pads isnt rubbing the disk. third, get someone to watch the wheels at the back as you drive away slowly to make sure the wheels are spinning correctly and that the caliper isn't locking, fourth drive your car at speed if the noise gets louder the faster go it could be a bearing.good look I hope this helps (Rate me answer please)

Could be a bad c/v joint on the end of the drive axle but can also be just about any of a number of things. You need to get under there and do a good visual inspection. If the rubber boot on the joint is split or torn it's a safe bet that the joint has failed.

Loud noise sometimes ocurs when excelerating or braking. sounds like metal draging , but it is not.

Is the car stick shift or auto. Sound like a problem with either the transmission which is spinning all the time even when sat still. Or the Rear axel is tuffed out..
