Check cam sensor plug, had 5v on left, gnd in middle and 4V on right signal. Had continuity from plug to computer. Same thing. ANy ideas?????

Make sure you have the right drive plate or flywheel. If so check the crankshaft sensor

SOURCE: My 2002 Dodge intrepid has it engine light on

The MAP sensor and Knock Sensor are both very easily replaced. A better scanner will tell you which sensor is going bad on your transmission. An Autozone code reader will not tell you which sensor on the trans. is acting up. Most sensors on your trans. are very easity replaced as well. They just screw in and plug it. It's worth paying to get a "real" scan done. The trans. sensors are inexpensive and you can replace any other your listed sensors yourself.

SOURCE: check engine light comes on and car idle's and

I found this; if it helps.
The injectors need to be cleaned, if an engine is experiencing any of the classic symptoms of dirty injectors, such as lean misfire, rough idle, hesitation and stumbling on light acceleration, a loss of power, and higher hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions.
Lean misfire may also trigger a misfire code and turn on the Check Engine light on 1996 and newer vehicles with OBD II systems. The code often will be a P0300 random misfire code, or you may find one or more misfire codes for individual cylinders, depending on which injectors are most affected.

On both cars the knock sensor is located in the intake valley.

the computer receive signals if engine knocking and adjust the timing till stop. Before replace the sensors make sure the engine have no other misfire ,bad gas or vacuum leak.plug scan tool and read the code.Only circuit problem will be a true knock problem. Inspect all wire connectors before start taking a part.

Can a 1999 2.7 liter motor from a dodge intrepid fit in a 2002 dodge intrepid that has a 2.7 liter motor are they the same

yes the engine is the same but you will probably have to use the enginge wiring harness and ecm (or computer) from 1999 intrepid to ensure that there will be no engine performance problems

How do i change the cam positioning sensor on my 2003 2.7 dodge intrepid

Quick fix. No worries. There is 1 bolt and one wire connector for the camshaft postioning sensor. The sensor is located on the front of the block just slightly off center toward the drivers side. An easy to find out which one it is (because there are a few wierd little sensor things around it) is to buy the new one and look in that area until you find a match to the part in your hand. Be careful to not break the wiring harness when removing.

Step 1: Find the sensor (hardest part)

Step 2: Remove the (1) bolt holding it into the engine block

Step 3: Remove the wiring harness from the old sensor

Step 4: Plug the wiring harness into the new sensor

Step 5: Replace the bolt and snug the sensor in place

Step 6: Using an OBD2 (II) sensor. Turn your check engine light off.

NOTE: You must turn the check engine light off. Simply changing the sensor will not turn off the light.

I have an engine code PO332 knock sensor 2 circuit low imput bank 2 what is this problem .the car is a 2001 gmc yukon xl .

The most likely cause of your code is a bad rear knock sensor. You should check the knock sensor wiring harness for corrosion. But if that checks out the sensor will have to be replaced. The knock sensor is under the intake manifold, although it's not too difficult to remove. Both knock sensors should be replaced along with the wiring harness, just because of labor involved in gaining access to the sensors. You could try clearing the code, it may stay off for a long time.

Check engine on

This goes to the o2 sensors, you will have to change the harness to match the o2 sensors, unless you changed the manifolds also(exhaust)If you did, just retrieve the o2 sensors from the other engine(Original)and place them in the manifolds you have now.

MY 01 DODGE INTREPID IS RUNNING REALLY ROUGH N WILL TURN OFF N NOT START

Try checking all the wires and harnesses around the engine first, as well as the plugs.
Clean any dirty connections you find.
Then check, pull and clean the camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor plugs and electrical connectors, and optionally remove the sensors and clean them directly.
Do all these things with the battery disconnected, and leave the positive terminal off for a half hour or so to clear the computer.
