Question about 1995 Jeep Cherokee

1 Answer

My 1995 Grand Cherokee Ltd. emits a loud, continuous, high-pitched sound that appears to have something to do with a compartment of wiring on the lower drivers side near the hood-release. It appears to be some sort of alarm but no one seems to know what it could mean. Do you know what it could be?

First, you have to advice what repairs has been done to your car prior to this problem. The sound is coming from your relay.

Our 1993 jeep grand cherokee has a very loud squeeking coming from the driver side front tire.

First thing to look at is the wear on the brake pads. Most pads have a wear indicator on the and when the pad gets to the replacement point it will emit a very loud more of a high pitched noise to inform you to a brake inspection.

The breather hose goes to the inner frame on the drivers side. You can attatch it to anywhere as long as it is high enough with slack in the hose for suspension travel.

What is the value of a 95 jeep grand cherokee ltd

fifteen hundred is a good ballpark figure. Add or subtract from there depending upon it's overall condition. GC's aren't as highly valued as they once were because they don't get really great gas mileage
However, prices vary from location to location depending upon demand.

Constant beep even while driving and when i turn it off it still beeps unless i disconect the interior lighting fuse and plug it back in fuse # 8 i believe. if i leave the fuse out it makes a wierd sound...

1995 GrCher Orvis - I have now just started with the same problem. An incessent loud high pitched alarm sound. Identical fuse, ignition on/off, and ticking issues. Can start jeep, warning sounds as normal followed by incessent tone, I can remove fuse to get quiet, but then when I close the door I get the identical alarm sound, but with a slight pause. Tone. Tone, Tone, etc. I can't figure. Tore through all components of dash: to learn that the alarm seems to emminate from the transmission floor area, and is not in the instrument panel (f up #1) nor is it behind the dashboard (f up #2). I'm stuck now... Anybody got something for me? Is it a transmission warning?

Jeep is emitting a white substance around the manifold. Looks like something expolded. It was over heating. What can it be?

The cylinder head gasket seems to have blown and the oil has mixed with water thus the whitish substance.
