I have a 2000 K3500 6.5L. The computer was bad, and replaced. Now that when adjusting the timing, it gets to 170-Degrees and shuts off. Every time. What is causing this problem? Is the computer board bad?

Is the temp getting over heated as you start the car or the timing belt slipping. What exactly is going to 170 degrees. If the car is getting overheated then it can be related to ac and coolant. Also get the coolant temperature sensor. Also see if the radiator cooling fan is running or not running.if there is any kind of coolant leak. But if before replacing the computer every thing was good and no such problems, then yes it can be faulty computer that is not controlling the temp and relays causing it to reach the 170 degrees and its shutting the car off. Either a bad computer or it needs proper re-programing,as its not detecting some components and causing this shutoff problems. -----------------------

When I apply brakes to stop at light or sign in my 2000 ford expedition back brakes lock up and wheels skid, truck will not drive forward until you shut truck off and wait a few minutes then put it in

Check the adjuster springs and the adjuster for the back breaks. If those are broke, weak, or missing they will need replaced. If it's 4-wheel disc it might be bad calipers or anti-lock brake controller.

How do i replace the timing after changing the distibutor?

According to nissan owners club online, you only have to hook up the timing light and adjust it. I think it is set at 15 degrees but check the sticker on the hood.

My car a 2000 Chevy malibu started over heating and reached 260 degrees and then car randomly shut off.... I Let it cool down put some antifreeze in it and started it back up drove it 15 miles down road...

In a way it has a fail switch, the shut down was triggered by a program in the computer. I would suspect the thermostat stuck closed, suggest you replace it.

Can i check ignition timing on a 2000 dodge caravan, i just replaced the timing belt, the car cranks fow awhile and then starts buts dies quickly

No you cannot check timing. Its all computer controlled and adjusted by the computer and the reading it gets from various sensors.
Perhaps you have the belt off by a tooth or two. Maybe left a sensor unplugged.

What is the correct timming mark or degrees for 1962 ford falcon 170 motor

According to my Chilton book it is 4 degrees Before TDC for a standard transmission and 10 degrees Before TDC on the automatic. The marks are on the pulley it says, not the damper. It doesn't say what size the engine is. It does list a 170 and a 144 for 1963. In 1963 the timing is 6 degrees BTDC for the standard and 12 BTDC for the automatic and the mark is on the damper. Hope this helps.

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix with a digital climate control system. The heat quit working, it doesn't blow out any heat. Now that it is warm outside the air stopped blowing out any air. The digital temperature on the climate control is not correct. When it states that it is below 30 degrees on the ext and it is warm outside the air wont be cold. Once it starts going above 30 degrees the air gets colder. Today the blower stop working all together. Was told it maybe the climate control unit was bad. You can hear the door opening/shutting when you switch the temp from cold to hot. But there was no heat blowing out whatsoever in the winter time. Could you please give me your opinion on whether or not it is the climate control unit or something else?

Timing chainalignment on a 2004 ford taurus dohc. cant figure out

is the Haynes manual any better?  the computer only adjust the secondary timing.  The primary and valve to crank correlation is done via the chain positioning.  Rotate the crank 180 degrees an that should fix the problem.  Good luck
