I have a 1998 Ford Mustang with a 3.8 liter engine. I went to crank it this morning and it wouldn't start, it sounded as if it wasnt getting enough gas to turn completely over. I just went outside this afternoon and it cranked it right up and drove it around and it acted like it was gasping, loosing power; so I put on a new battery and cleaned all the cables; and now it wont start, the engine wont turn copletely over. Your help will be appreciated!!

Check to see if the chip in your key needs re-programming; mine did, and the mustang cranks fine now!

I'm leaning towards your TFI module on the Dizzy. They get hot from engine and are a known issue by ford. I included a picture of what the TFI or ignition module looks like in your Stang. Be sure to tell the store clerk if you have a auto or manual when you purchase one Good Luck Ryan MN

Last week, my 1998 Lexus ES300 wouldn't start (clicking sound) and I thought it was the battery. I jump started it but noticed that it still made the clicking sound, for my first couple of tries, it did...

If car wont start and clicking sound is heard this is a battery related or starter related, if your car battery is in good condition (which I think it was) then the problem is your starter, have it check to confirm.

1998 Jeep Cherokee 2.5td Ltd: intermittent cranking problem.

It sounds like you need to get the starter motor either repaired or replaced. Due to constant trying to start the car, it maybe that the battery is discharged a bit, causing the engine not to respond as usual, so you have to give more throttle. First , get the starter sorted and charge the battery, then you will see how it goes . Hope this helps

Engine will not restart after use, will start after 10-25 minutes

Do not take the fuel cap of when trying to start the vehicle this will trigger a trouble code. The no start problem, sounds like the ignition module. Thats the thing that your coils are plugged into. The coils are the things that your plug wires are plugged into up by the fire wall. The ignition module looks like a silver plate about 6-8" long underneath the coil packs, (3 individual coils serving two cylinders each). Anyway have that checked out. Tip;- If you unplug the coils and put dielectric grease at each of the terminals, that might help, it's a first step to fixYa.
