Possible that the water pump is not working well or the engine timing is out of sync.
You will need to check the reason for the temperature increasing :
Does it increase on the run or idle, if so check the transmission, brakes , if wheel are caught up.
Check the Timing of the engine , if advanced the engine can heat up.
The inlet opens only when the heater is selected , so check if the valve opens to the blower when the lever is moved.
Check the radiator pressure cap.

Heaters blow cold on my vauxhall vectra

I have a astra the same thing ,when its really cold i slide a piece of cardboard in front of the rad ,yes i know i changed the thermostat behind the timing cover and it should get hot but?? bled the top heater hose and all that but for some reason it will not get hot .The only other thing i do when the weather get cold is to fit a renault thermostat in the top hose ,one of the old renault 4 /5 type that goes in the pipe but as this spain it doesnt get that cold very often .You could try removing the pipes to the heater and flushing with a hose pipe and reversing the direction a few times but if the engine isnt getting hot to start with then thats most likely your problem .

Hi,my 1995 bmw 316i only blows cold air.even when the temp control is full at red it blows ice cold air, thanks.rod

check hot water is circulating through heater rad by feeling the inlet and outlet pipes as they come thru the bulkhead if ok it sounds like there is a control panel prob, if hot water isnt circulating make sure cooling system is bled properly, and you could try backflushing the system.

I just changed thermostat, and replaced coolant, still my 1995 gmc suburban blows cold air.

Find the two heater hoses going through the firewall to the heater core both need to be hot at operating temp. If both are hot the problem will be inside with the heater control. I only one heater hose is hot the
problem will be the heater core. I am assuming you have bled all the air out of the cooling system.

My 02 BMW is still registering hot. Took it to BMW

I would remove the water pump and inspect it.These cars have a problem with the impeller on the inside coming loose.

Other than that I would also do some teste to make sure you do not have a head gasket issue.

Bmw 318i. Car was overheating although coolant full. Bled radiator and now its ok but now heaters inside car blows cold. any ideas i can try please

Sounds like the thermostat has stayed closed you will need to change it as it will blow the head gasket, very common on this model.

Also when you bled it though you may have left some air in the system this would also stop the heating working, they can be a pain to bleed through keep sqeezing the water hoses as you are bleeding it through and do not bleed it from the lower part of the radiator as it will be hard to get the air out as air will stay at the top, you should bleed from the top.
