Only the selling dealer of the car new would have that information, other than that you will need a locksmith or the Jag dealer to fix this.

Check eng. light 1990 jag xj6 fault code 29

The 29 code, is a ECU fail test. Lots of reasons, first is you getting yourself a new battery. Put it in and see if the 29 come up again. First things first.

Lost my key can i start if from the starter motor ?

Your car will no doubt have some sort of factory fited imobiliser so I think the answer to your question is NO!

You will have to contact a dealer and see if they can help or may be likely that the ingnition lock will have to be replaced and new keys spplied.

I got keys for my 1995 xj6 on ebay 2 for $12 and took them to the Jag dealer and they cut my copies for $10 bucks each. Just needed my title. Had I ordered them from the dealer I believe my husband paid 160.

You'll need to call a Jag dealer and prove you own the car legally. Be prepared to show a bill of sale, a title, and the vehicel's VIN.

Duplicate key

hi it will need codeing if you go to the dealers it will cost you arm and leg check your phone book find a auto electrician that also cuts keys and can code it for you as well you may have to get the key from dealers but ask the auto electrician he will know best place as far as reverse sensors the only simple change on these is the fuse as the rest are sealed modules unless someone accidently pulled the wiring off in the boot could have a quick check but if you get a auto electrician out for your key get him to have a quick look
