Suggest you have bearings inspected/replaced and oil pump checked as there is no longer a real oil pressure check in the system and knocking at temperature is slop in a bearing or lack of lubrication.

Hi Troy I owned a motor bike years ago and I had the same problem, It would start off with a quiet knocking sound and get louder then suddenly stop but start up quietly again and again and so on which turned out to be the timing chain was worn.... SERIOUS mate. Good luck......
check the rear hand brake in the drum. they are prone to undo the the pin that holds the hand brake shoe in place. when the pin falls out it can make a knocking sound as the pin is being hit and can cause damage to the shoe and drum. you will need to take the drum off and check shoe and change the pin/pins...
Probably not, unless the tires were so bad that they tore up some of the suspension. Have your CV joints on the driveaxles checked. When a CV joint starts getting worn out, it will make a clicking sound during turns. Could that be what you hear? Heavy knocking could be from the suspension, but possibly a CV joint if very badly worn.
hey..im in vancouver..i wonder if it is your valves....is your oil full ?...is it winter oil?..maybe it is too thick, and it takes those few seconds for the oil pump to get it circulating.?
The plastic pipes which brings hot/cold air from your ac unit are much hot/col -er then the rest of the car so it expands/schrinks because of temeprature difference. So when you turn your car off, it will go back to it's original size and then it make that noice.
it may be a stuck lifter,.try some lucas oil..it may go away in couple of days ,it depends on how much you drive the veheicle..worked for me.GOOD LUCK..
Battery is dead... get a volt meter, jump the car and with the car running on its own power check the voltage, anything less than 12v could point to an alternator but a new battery is a better place to start. put it to you this way if the car shuts off while driving, then its your alt, and if its fine wen drivin but wont start back up... its all battery
