2006 toyota tacoma - airconditioner fan not blowing at all. No circulation of air out of the vent with the recycle button on. But with the recycle button off there is a slight cold breeze from the vents. Fan not operating at all. Any ideas???

the real solution is to turn on and up the fans BUT you must use the fresh air from outside instead of recycled air. This is done by selecting or deselecting it using its own button. On my Toyota 2006 RAV 4, there's a button you push which is on the center of the climate control knob. By pushing it, you are using fresh air instead of the air being recycled. Any questions, let me know.
This is the 2001-2012 Toyota Tacoma wiring diagram, Toyota Tacoma IAT (Intake Air Temperature) Sensor Location and the Toyota Tacoma MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor Location, also included is a pinout of the sensor. You are likely installing a performance chip or a cold air intake kit for increased HP (Horsepower). You will want to be sure to disconnect the car battery before adding performance products.
This May Sound Stupid,But You Can Have The A/C Button Pushed In,But The" Other Knob"That Turns For Vent,Defroster,Ect.Has To Be Turned So That The Arrows Point Out Towards You .Thank You !
Hello! Coil of Heater Relay is supplied through Fuse "IG1 2" (10A)...Located in the Drivers Side Box...Contacts of Relay are supplied through "Heater Fuse (50A)...Located in Engine Relay Box...Blower Motor has a 2 wire connector with wire colors: Black/Yellow (Pin 2)...And White/Blue (Pin 1)...Pin 1=Ground and Pin 2=Battery when Relay pulls and contacts close... The Blower Resistor Pack (Which fails often) controls the fan speed...BUT, there is a fuse inside the assembly...If it blows = No Fan...Located on the top of the heater/AC box and can be accessed through the Glove Compartment...Guru...Saailer
well it could be just a relay for the fan blower motor or a fuse. check all the fan positions..low med high..Its something you can fix but it if got about 600.00 dollars laying around .. take it to the Dealer..lol..Good Luck!!!
You need engine heat, circular, and a blower to get heat. You've already done the first steps of making sure you have enough fluid, etc.
Circulation - water pump - not likely because when they fail they usually bind up or leak really badly.
Heater core - would be my next guess. If this is blocked you won't get any hot water to blow air through. The heater core goes through the firewall. If you can get to the hose connections, disconnect them and see if you can flush any water through the core. Most likely you will have to replace it.
there should be only one fan and its under the hood on the passenger side firewall. it takes about 30 minutes to change and its the only motor you will see of that side, its held in by three screws and a plug.
Replace the fan motor resistor, which is located in the blower housing, (under the dash, under the glove box) to the driver side of the fan motor. Held on by 2 screws. Common problem. I change a lot of them.
This is my EXACT problem. Did either of you find any solutions?
