SOURCE: 95 Buick Century dash removal?
you should not have to remove the dash to install a new radio all you have to do is remove the trim around the radio and then take out the bolts that hold the radio in and remove the wires from the back and also if there is a Walmart or Radio Shack near you get an installation kit and you plug it from the plugs from your old radio and it is alot easier to wire it that way

You've got a bad switch. If you feel confident in your mechanical abilities, the back of the switch comes off. There are (I believe) 8 small metal tabs that need to be bent straight so they will slide through the slots in the outer casing. Then there are four or five plastic tabs that run down both sides of the switch. You need a small screwdriver to release these tabs (after bending the metal tabs straight). The inside guts of the headlight switch will slide out through the back leaving only the dash visible portion including the buttons. The buttons will fall out but just remember where each one goes. There are four metal bars that run the length of the upper part of the switch (brass bars). One of them is out of the tracks that are used to turn on parking lights when headlights are turned on and turn off all lights when 'Off' button is pressed. I'm pretty sure I have a spare healight switch around here somewhere. Let me know if interested. I'd have to look it up on EBay to see what I paid, but I believe it was about $9.50 + $4 or $5 shipping.

Are you referring to the message center??? The message center is the CRT display in the center of the dash that controls your radio, A/C, heat, displays gauges, etc.
If that's not lighting up, you need to replace the unit. I have a spare one if you're interested. It's not perfect. The very bottom of the screen is starting to become very slightly distorted, but I will sell it very cheap. Just bought the entire interior from an '88 Reatta from a junkyard. Message center came with it. Let me know.
