1990 chevy silverado 1500 single cab. 180K miles. Last few days if the truck sits for 8 hours truck has a hard time starting up. Takes a good push on the gas to get running. Oil changes and fuel injection cleaner is applied every 3k miles. Once truck is running run fine at idle. Possible fouled plugs or fuel filter?

Possible fuel pump issue causing fuel to drain back into the tank. Check valve inside pump may be bad. Once vehicle is turned on it may take a few seconds to prime up the fuel lines until operating pressure is reached. Put a pressure guage on the fuel rail and start the vehicle. Should be approx 55-60lbs running. Turn off vehicle and leave it sit with guage attached and monitor for pressure dropping off to 0. If so, suspect a bad pump

The button is stuck in or the switch is stuck in the closed position. Try pushing the button and or pulling it out. if that does not work the cluster will have to be taken out and repaired.

A common problem is if the fuel pressure regulator leaks internally. This causes fuel pressure to bleed down over time and makes it hard to start the vehicle if it has been sitting for usually more than a few hours. Sounds like that could be what you are dealing with.

Hello: You will have to replace the cluster.After replacement the cluster will need programing, mileage and engine hours set.

we have a 08 1500 crewcab chevy that all the power door locks worked excepted the drivers door. We started to look at that door power lock actuater and now the passenger power door lock does not work. Could the trouble be something other than actuaters?

Your vehicle should never over heat regardless of age. Your thermostat and radiator cap will however become tired and will need to be replaced. The coolant in your engine should also be replaced as the PH level will rise and this will eat away at your radiator.
As for your brakes squealing, they may need to be replaced. There are little springs on your front brakes that will contact your rotor and these are intended to let you know that you have 10% left.

The stepping motors in the gauges go bad. do a search on ebay for CHEVY SILVERADO INSTRUMENT CLUSTER for cheaper repair options. The dealer charges around $300.00. It will continue to worsen.
