Problem with carburetor as speed be pressed the van turns off.the input fuel is coming but problem in the carburetor

recheck the float level in the carby as it appears to have a fuel starvation problem. There could also be a partial blockage in the main jet .

Where does the fuel line connect to the engine?

On most engines, fuel from the fuel line enters the carburetor's fuel bowl, a reservoir where a float, similar to the float ball in a toilet tank, regulates the fuel level. From there, a metering device called a jet lets fuel into the emulsion tube inside the pedestal, where fuel and air first mix. (Older models include an adjustable jet; newer models contain a fixed jet.) Fuel travels through the emulsion tube to the main passageway in the carburetor, called the throat or venturi, where further mixing occurs.

Have a 90 corsica...fuel pump is fine...****** is fine but wont go over 35 mph...acts like its not getting enough fuel...please help

1st, try to ask a mechanic to check if the timing of your engine is correct. the timing might be a little "delayed" so the engine cannot work properly on high speeds.

is your engine still uses carburetor? if yes, replace the primary and secondary jetting of your carburetor. normally, the standard primary/secondary jets for a 1.6cc engine is 105/135.

if your engine already works on direct fuel injector, replace injectors with bigger size. go up 1 size at a time.

i believe the culprit here is the timing in your engine.

My '02 Isuzu Axiom's ignition coil was replaced and now it continues to idle to high and when i was backing out to go to work, it stalled on me.

Sir ,
The problem is with your fuel supply system . Its not at all with the ignition coil at all . Kindly have your carburetor checked up by a professional . The carburetor jet must be having a clot in it or it must be contaminated . Else there must be complaint with the carburetor jet pin , which is a system which controls the amount of fuel that flows into your engine while its burning .
If the problem persists , Well also have a check up on you ECU system . My expert opinion is to have the above works done only at a well known workshop , because these system affect the total performance of your car .
Thanking you , Dixon Dominic

Toy 4runner when you rev it up then let off the idle drops around 400 then takes almost a minute to return to normal any ideas?

the problem is with your fuel injection system .First have your ECU checked up by an authorized service personal. Have your carburetor cleaned up and check for complaints with the engines JET system . Retune your engine after cleaning and it will be alright for sure . The carburetor jet pin might have got faulty so expect a replacement for the carburetor or fuel injection system .
Thank you

My vechicle is taking to much fuel its a ae91 model corolla with 5a engine

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Does your corolla still runs on carburetor? If it is then it's a common problem. The carburetor's jet spits too much fuel when worn out. I strongly suggest that you get a carburetor kit and replace the jet and seals to resolve the problem.

Fuel consumption will surely be good after the procedure.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Car has fuel pressure and spark but still won't start-why?

Check your carburetor and the air filter element. Without the air filter out, you can see gas coming out of the carburetor jets as you let somebody start your engine. Gas must get out of it, if your engine has to start. No gas--- get your carburetor jets cleaned. Then, replace your carburetor. Air filter must be free from sludge, otherwise get a replacement..Get this done, and send in your e-mail.
