I have a 2002 Ford ZX-2 Escort with a manual transmission. Does the filter get changed the same way as an automatic transmission.

Hi there!

Manual Transmission doesn't have a filter in the transmission, you only change oil thats it and it and it doesn't have a Pan either. Good luck

I purchased an 2002 Ford Esort zx2 , with an automatica transmission...my problem is when it's cold it will shift just fine, but it seems when it gets warmed up the transmission doesn't want to shift as it...

I can't say it will solve the issue but it couldn't hurt. If the transmission fluid is a dark brown or very dark red it is burnt up and should be flushed.

1995 Ford Escort LX Wagon 1.9 Liter. 173K Loud Vibration

Is the engine running on all four cylinders, no missfire? If so, check the engine and transmission mounts, there are four, one at the top right hand side, one at the top of transmission on the left hand side, and one on front of transmission bell housing, and one in the rear transmission bell housing, any of them that are bad can cause this vibration. Hope this helps, let me know.

Ford Escort transmission question

No no, U JUST REMOVE THE SERVICE PAN FROM THE TRANSMISSION, this is under the car not inside. U will need to jack the car as high in the air as you can get it, use safety stands always, then just unbolt the many bolts that retain the pan onto the transmission case and have a drain pan ready, fluid will go everywhere, install new gasket and filter then add 3 quarts of type "F" trans fluid and idle the engine until the trans is very hot, at least 170 degrees's Fahrenheit, then check the fluid level and top it off to the full zone, DO NOT OVERFILL!
