Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer
My car wont start but it has power.engine oil decreases to very low level in 3000 kms. only.i have changed my spark plugs two weeks ago.whats the meaning of the sign beside the battery sign in the speedometer. its like dripping water or oil.what is it?it is always lighted.
The 'dripping water/oil' indicator means that the oil level is low

If i'm not mistaken the light beside the battery sign is the check engine light. this lights up if anything under the hood is not functioning the way it should. Unfortunately i cannot be more specific on this. It just means that you could be staring at a major repair, or your gas cap could be too loose (no kidding).
Well as you've mention your oil is dropping at a very fast rate then its a good place to start checking. You can check if your oil seals are ok and might as well check all the filters...oil filters, fule filters air filters.
Hope i have answered your question. Goodluck!
