Locate throttle body sensor on hyundai santa fe 2004 2.4L and replacing it

Well, we both know it is on the throttle body. follow the air filter box to the engine. Where it connects is the throttle body. Do you have drive by wire or cable? f you have cable the sensor is across from where the cables connect. If you have drive by wire, You have to replace the entire throttle body. It is a computer in it self.

I replace throttle body and wiring harness but the vehicle idles on its on sometimes and the vehicle will cut off when you come to a stop sign. The vehicle will act as its trying to shutdown sometimes...

Hi normally a foreign throttle body requires adaptation with diagnostic equipment , to configure with ECU. Try cleaning the throttle with some solvents, Make sure all electrical sockets are connected firmly.

What does check engine light P2138 code mean and how to fix it?

P2138 Throttle/Pedal Pos Sensor Voltage Correlation

Potential Causes of P2138 DTC It's been my experience that the wiring connector or "pig tail" on the throttle body gives problems in the form of a poor connection. The female terminals on the pigtail corrode or pull out of the connector. Possible bare wire on pigtail shorting to ground. The top cover on the throttle body distorted preventing the gears from turning properly. The electronic throttle body is faulty. The accelerator pedal sensor or its wiring failed. The engine management computer has failed. The TPS sensors were not correlating for a few seconds and the computer needs to be cycled through its relearn phase to restore active response to the throttle body, or the computer needs reprogramming at the dealer.

How to connect vacuum hose from/to air filter - Camry 2003

Usually you wouldn't connect a vacuum hose to the air filter, but if its a DIY job your after you would need to get the male connectors and some other hardware to do a custom job (drilling required) otherwise to have the same effect you could just connect a vacuum hose to the Intake Manifold or throttle body.

The Intake manifold usually has some spare slots for small vacuum hoses.

To locate follow the air filter box tube back to the throttle body, the throttle body, the intake is directly off this and connects to the engine. see diagram

Engine diagram 1997 buick skylark/thermostat

follow the water inlet pipe to water pump the thermostat housing connects to water pump this is for 2.4l engine you have to remove exhaust manifold heat shield.you will see the water inlet pipe going to water pump inlet thermostat housing.for the 3.1 engine follow top radiator hose to thermostat housing you have to remove air filter air duct and filter housing , you have to remove throttle body unit with coolant hoses, you have to disconnect accelerator cable, transmission down shift cables at the bracket bolts to throttle body.once you remove throttle body unit then you can see and remove the thermostat housing to replace thermostat.you need to buy new throttle body gasket, and new small coolant hoses connects to the throttle body unit.have extra gallon antifreeze dexcool on hand.

2005 Ford Expedition (4wd) with trouble codes p2104 and p2112 completely cuts off at low speeds. All signs point to throttle position sensor, but want to make sure I'm on the right track.

Shown here is the P2104 obd2 code and their general meaning. For a brief description of any particular OBD2 code and how to fix the obd2 trouble code, please browsw below. P2104 Engine TP Actuator Cntl System
This obd2 code is very common on newer vehicles which contain new design of throttle positioner sensor. Instead of putting a tps sensor at the side of your throttle body as in older engines, a throttle actuator control system is installed which eliminates the mechanical linkage (cable) between the throttle body and the throttle pedal. Under the throttle pedal, a throttle switch is installed and a throttle module or actuator is incorporated beside the throttle body. Because there is no mechanical device that wears out, it is more effecient in delivering better mileage and performance torque (besides...the actuator module performs better in getting all throttle signals to the ecm and trany).
To test this code, check the integrity of the wires going to both the throttle body actuator and the ecm including the throttle switch. Most of the time, if you have symptoms like trany going to a limp mode, the culprit originates from the trany circuit. However, if the symptom is engine related like hesitation, the problem resides in the throttle actuator itself which may sometimes includes the replacement of the whole throttle body assembly. Contact ATS if you need a wiring diagram or detailed fixes for your throttle actuator control system.
TIP:
Before replacing the throttle control actuator and throttle body, try cleaning the throttle plates and all plug-in wiring connections. Also, watch out the throttle body mounting bolts which can easily break (use care) when removing them.

I need a diagram of my fuel injected 350 (its in my 1990 blazer), i need to figure out where and what the TPS looks like!!

Go buy one then look at your throttle body and find the part that looks like what you just brought. Its easy to install it has two small screws attached on the side of what used to be a carbuertor it is now called the throttle body in the middle of your engine, its usually on the drivers side of the throttle body. And it has a small wire harness that plugs into another harness.

if you follow the hose from your air filter to where it meets the engine you will see your throttle cable also connected to this piece on the intake that is your throttle body.

Jaguar stalls

If this is the same as the problem of engine stall when reaching 60 - 80 mph (and then usually taking foot of accelerator).
Then it is probably due to a fault in the circuitry in the throttle body. some were replaced by Jaguar but now I believe you need to get a new one (now rectified versions) - about £800
Hope this helps   Chris
