Question about 1994 Hyundai Excel
When leaving the parking lot with my 1998 Hyundai Excel, I felt the smell of something burning inside, I didn't pay much attention but half an hour later the engine stalled. Lights on the dashboard went very dim and all I got from the starter was a click. After resting for some 20 min. everything was OK, the engine started and I got home. The next day everything under the dashboard looked normal and the smell was gone, but I measured 12.25V at the battery terminals with the engine running, which points of course to alternator failure. I also noticed tha the battery indicator light is always off after the event. My question is: what else should I check besides the alternator. What could have caused the engine to stall?
Sorry, your plan sounds like it's worth the money but there's no way for me to send dollars out of this country (Venezuela), so my only hope is that you can post a solution for me on your site. Thanks in advance
