Question about 2008 Ford Mustang

My mustang feels like it's slipping

I have a 08 GT/CS (5 Spd manual) and it feels like it's slipping or that a bearing is badly worn in the rear, this happens in 2nd Gear at about 2500 RPM and higher. It doesn't vibrate/slip when I have a passenger in it though. I initially had a bad vibration in 1st Gear, and the dealer shimmed it to correct that issue, but gave me this problem and says there's nothing he can do. (They've tried to adjust the pinion angle and have it adjusted all the way). I've taken it to another dealer and their mechanic said he doesn't feel any problem. Any Ideas?

I too have a 2008 Mustang GT/CS 5 speed and it seems to "slip" anytime it is under load, ie climbing steep hills. Haven't noticed it happening in the lower gears. So far the only thing we have tried is changing to high test which hasn't helped. Plan to take it into a Ford dealership next.

Why is the rear end making a whining noise

The whining noise could be for many reasons. Narrowing the possibilities depends on when the noise occurs. If it happens only while decelerating at any or all speeds is most likely caused by bad pinion bearings or loose pinion bearing preload. If it happens during acceleration over a small or large speed range is usually caused by worn ring and pinion gears.

One cheap thing to check is the fluid level in the differential. If low, topping off the lube may help for a while.

Trying to find out how much oil the Triton V-10 takes when I do my oil change? I cant seem to find it or anyone who knows

It should be listed in the owners manual, but because of different oil cooler setups you may have to do the change yourself and add oil until the correct level is established..... for the first oil change.
Most likely 7 liters, but start with 5,run the engine to fill the oil filter, let it sit for 5 mins and recheck and fill to full.
Note the amount needed for next time.

1989 Ford Mustang GT Drop in Oil Pressure gage

I hate be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like you bottom end bearings are getting worn out. You have excessive bearing clearances causing your drop in oil pressure.
