Question about 1992 Chevrolet C/K 3500

1 Answer

Possible defective RV chassis system

I have a 1992 Coachmen 34’ (M-340 MB Chev) which has a poor hydraulic system. The "Autopark" system ties together the Brakes, Emergency Brake, Park & Power Steering. I've spent over $4000 in a year and it's not fixed yet! Here's the VIN 1GBKP37N4M3315805.

I have 1995 chev 15004x4 5 so 6 cyc I had to change the throw out bearing and since I put it all back together I won t shift into gear when running but will when not

To me sounds like its not disconnecting when you depress the clutch, if by chance the wrong clutch kit or bent clutch arm or if its a hydraulic throw out system possible air in line. I have also seen where someone missed the fingers in the yoke on the throw out arm.

Is the cross member under the load

cross members are the chassis members that tie the side frame rails together. There will be one at the front and another at the centre of the chassis and one at the rear . There is a bolt in cross member at the rear of the gear box (rear engine mount). Most modern cars are uni-construction (that is the body is complete and the front section will have a front cross member and the sub-frame rails will be bolted under the body around the front door pillars and onto the fire wall.. IN heavy vehicles there is a front cross member the carries the front engine mount another after the gear box to carry the cabin mounts and then a member every 3-4 feet to the end of the chassis rails . Their only purpose is to tie the chassis rails together.
