How do remove the driver's side door handle which broke loose?

Remove plastic plate behind inside door handle, then remove 10 mm screw ,do the same for the door finger cup, pry out the rubber and remove the 2 10 mm screws. Now you can start prying off your door panel gently as possible so as not to break anything.

Is there any certain way to remove the driver's door panel

There's a few tools you'll need:
panel removal tool $7-$10 (forked)
if you have hand crank windows you'll also need a window crank removal tool
screw drivers - philips and small straight
Note pad and pen or pencil
zip lock plastic bag
May need:
socket set
allen and torx drivers

Use the note pad to make notes where everything goes.
Open the door all the way.
Use the straight screw driver to pop any small plastic covers off.
remove any screws that are holding the panel or arm rests or anything else attached to the door (this is where the socket, allen or torx drivers may come in handy)
put all the small part in the plastic bag (use more than one to keep things straight, if you need to.)
starting at the bottom back corner start gently pulling the panel, you'll soon find spots where it's sticking, here you'll find plastic panel attachment pins. Using your panel removal tool, slide it under the panel and find the panel pins, slide the tool around the pins and pry them loose, You may find an extra screw you missed or a few panel pin toward the center, remove as before.
The panel should now be hanging by where it clips over the window edge (if working indoors, putting the window down ahead of time helps here) gentle lift and pull the panel up and off where it's hanging.
All that's left is disconnecting any wires, there will be clips molded into the sides to hold them in place, gently lift the clip and disconnect them.
Your panel should be loose.
Reverse to reinstall.

Driver door panel removal and re-connect door pull

You most likley have a damaged inside door handle. To remove the door panel, you must first remove the handle bezel. The trim piece around the handle. It is held in place by 4 retainer tabs, take a small flat screw driver, insert it between the bezel and handle. Gently pry away from the handle. If you look in the crack around the handle you will see the tabs. When you get that off, remove the switch assembly by prying up on it gently, unplug the wiring. There are 2 screws in the door panel where you pull the door shut, remove those also. Start at the bottom front of the door panel, pull outward firmly, but not violent. The retainers will come out, you will most likley break some, this is common. The inside handle is about $45 from your dealer. If it is the handle it is held in with 1 rivit, drill it out with a 3/16 drill. Replace the handle, reassemble. Good Luck.

I need to remove the door panel on my 2004 Avalanche

There are plastic clips that hold the door panel inplace .. First look for any hidden screws near the door handle . there might be a little plastic cover that you need to remove with a small screw driver to find the screws.. look under the handle also to see if there are any hidden screws . next take a flat blade screw driver and start at the bottom corner and try gently prying the door panel off . try to stay close to the plastic clips not to damage them by prying real hard .. once you have snapped them loose all the way around .. lift up on the door panel to remove it from around the window lip and out it should come.. holler if you have any problems.. usually The mirrors on the chevys are up above the panel and there is a triangle plastic cover over it on the inside .. it will pry off also gently and there are 3 nuts there that need to be removed .. use caution these fall behind the door panel ... holler if you need more. look for any screws near the door handle might be kind of hidden or covered by a removable plastic cover . also start at the bottom corner with a good flat blade screw driver and pry the clips loose starting on bottom corner and across then up .. if all screws are out near door handle you should be able to lift up on the door panel and remove it unless there is a screw in say the window crank if its manuel. electric windows and door locks has a plugin in back you can unplug also to take the whole thing off. thanks Jerry holler if you need more.

How to replace '96 Ford Explorer driver side exterior door handle

You will need to remove the door panel to gain access to the handle. Roll the window up or down as needed to get to the nuts that attach the handle to the door. You will also need to remove a rod the goes to the door lock. You will see the rod after the door panel is removed. Good luck.
