Passenger seat does not slide back anymore

The Passenger Seat is electric and no longer moves/slides back as far as it used to. It will recline but will not slide back as much as the driver seat. I can not figure out why this is doing this

1976 450SEL seat back is half way reclined and I can,t move it

Hi Charlie:
You may haave to resort to removing the seat so that you can turn it upside down to see how the mechanism works, an more importantly, what is not working.
No big deal to remove the seat.... unbolt from floor, unplug any electricals, Bob's your Uncle!

Power seat won't slide back, black plug is hanging out

That is the seat heater plug most likely and you car is not equipped with that accessory. All cars come with the same wiring. Does the power seat switch have 12 volts present?

My passenger seat is pushed all the way up the motor is fine because the seat reclines fine is there a manual lever to slide the seat back on a 2006 kia optima exv6

Theres no lever if you have power seats then it uses motors to control it, there are a few motors one for foward and back and then on to recline the seat and then depending on the options on the the seat there may be another to go up and down, just because it reclines doesnt mean the other motor is good, you will need to check the switch and then make sure that the wiring is connected under the seat, try to unplug it and then plug the connectors back in and see if that helps, if there was a lever it would be located in the front off the seat near the floor area, good day.

Ait bag warning light on, plus passenger seat doesnt fold forward correctly and difficult to get back in the correct position after letting passengers into the rear. 2002 cooper. thanks

Regarding the passenger seat, to allow someone into the back seat, push the seat back lever DOWN. This will flip the back of the seat forward and allow the seat to slide forward. Simply push firmly on the seat back (no need to touch the lever) and it will return to its original position.

If you pull the seat back lever UP, you can adjust the recline angle of the seat back. Pulling the lever UP will also let you fold the seat and slide it forward, however, it will not return to its original position.

Sorry, cannot solve your airbag question.

Need to move front passenger seat much further back

the only way to do this is to take the seat out remove it from the rails take the rails to a machine shop and have them weld on extensions for the seat to slide on. you will also have to remove the rear seat stop so it will go further back and have them make catches in the extension for the seat to catch onto.

Broken power seat - cannot slide backward. Can I slide it manually?

Ck for debri or other objwcts in way of tracks Does it try to move? If so, there is an obstruction, If not trying or no sound when switch is moved, could very well be a fuse or the forward limit switch is being affected by excess forward travel. Move the switch yo back and without kinda help it. if it's trying.
