Question about 1995 Volkswagen Golf
We bought a 95 Golf but the lock on the hatch-back door is broken.
the central locking doesn't work on that door, nor does the back window wiper but the window defroster works ??
my question is : can i just get the lock replaced or do i have to replace the whole door ?/
i think maybe someone tried to break into it before we owned it and screwed the mechanism.
Check the wires entering the hatch lid pull rubber boot back wires might be broken from bending with hinge common prob with hatch elctrical.broken wires will blow the fuse too when they short to ground

Yes, you can get a lock replacement for it, for a straight shoot, try getting it at the dealer as bad as this sounds.but will save you a lot of problems
