Getting fire from coil to dist but not out of dist??replaced dist and button and crank position sensor, will not start

If you are getting fire from the coil to the distributor but not out of the distributor, it could be caused by a few different issues. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot and fix the problem:

Check the spark plugs: Make sure that the spark plugs are properly installed and that they are not damaged or fouled.

Check the distributor cap and rotor: The distributor cap and rotor can wear out over time and may need to be replaced. Inspect them for any visible signs of damage or wear and replace if necessary.

Check the ignition wires: The ignition wires may be damaged or loose, causing a loss of spark. Check the wires for any visible signs of damage or loose connections and replace or tighten as needed.

Check the ignition control module: The ignition control module may be faulty, causing a loss of spark. Test the module to see if it is functioning properly or have it replaced if necessary.

Check the fuel system: A malfunctioning fuel system can prevent the engine from starting. Make sure that the fuel pump is working properly and that there is sufficient fuel in the tank.

Hi I have a1988 chevy k1500 died changed coil dist wire from coil to dist have fuel no spark any ideas thanks

remove dist cap and rotor, under the rotor there is a control module (its about 1/4" tall, 1" wide, and 2-2 1/2" long) remove the module and take it to a parts store and have it tested. If its bad replace it and put dist back together and try starting it again. if thats not it then have coil check. Oh ya before you take anything apart disconect battery.

Hi ,I have a chevy blazer s-10 1993 and she won't start ,I change :spark plugs ,cap ,rotor , spark plug wires, fuel pump (58 psi) injectors (spider)internal hoses, starter and battery. but still my truck...

Find the pressure test port (looks like a tire valve) on the fuel distribution rail over the injectors and place a can over the open end of the valve. Press the inner pin to release fuel into the can. If the pressure seems to fall rapidly, replace the fuel filter. Is the check engine light on? Rent a scanner, read any code(s), and pursue to repair(s). A bad crankshaft sensor or camshaft sensor can prevent the injectors from firing fuel into the engine.
