SOURCE: Can not find where to check transmission fluid

That's because there isn't one, only automatics have a dipstick. Manuals have a fill port located on the side of the transmission if you loosen it and gear oil (not the same thing as automatic transmission fluid) drips out or is level with the hole it's full if not it needs more. Most oil change places will check it for a couple bucks, unless you have a lift it's not easy to get to.

SOURCE: clutch fluid leaking inside of trans housing on a 98 s10

these chevy trucks have the most horrible slave cylinder set up and it is located in side the transmission housing. this is why you are getting fluid from that area. the slave cylinder is leaking and to replace it you will need to remove transmission from vehicle. while your there you should change the clutch because it is out. unless it was just change then just the slave. good luck

What type of transmission cable do i need to make the chevy prizm 98 drive in all gears ? Currently it can't reverse

I don't think the cable is your problem. Try changing the transmission filter and fluid first. This should have been done at 80,000 miles. Its a 98 so its probably past due.

I have a 98 chevy malibu ls 3.1l with this whinding noise from behind the right tire, in park and nuteral. What could it be?

Be sure to check your transmission fluid level...this needs to be done with the engine running, if full, and many miles on your car, try adding a bottle of Lucas Oil Transmission stabilizer fluid...about $12...this works as an inexpensive transmission service, lubricating and cleaning the fluid and filter...You do not need to drain any fluids...Hope this helps.

Transmission fluid

You need to replace your torque converter, your Transmission does not move/turn in any way while in park the only part that does is the torque converter. I would also get a full fluid change when that is done as well.

I can't find where to put my transmission fluid in my 98 chevy cavalier. Please help.

On the cavaliers the transmission fluid does not have a separate fill location from the Check stick. To fill this just take a long funnel and fill it in the dipstick check hole
