Why do you feel the system might need to retrofit? Since 1994, all vehicles sold in the US are required to use R134, which is the new style refrigerant.

Low pressure too high in ac

If compressor is not kicking in, low pressure will be too high. If Compressor IS kicking on, orifice tube may be blocked, or compressor may be bad. You need a full manifold set to work on AC, not just the gauge that comes on a refill can.

It will need to be done with special programming tools and software s well as a subscription to the ac delco database.this will run you a couple thousand dollars. Spend the couple hundred bucks and send it to either a dealer, a shop that has the equipment, or find a mobile company that specializes in flashing ecm's.
