You may have a leak into you combustion chamber in the head.this will loose water into cylinder and not into oil.if it is, this will give you your rough running when you start.when it gets rid of the coolrant will run okay.2 ways to check.1 start car up and get someone to check your exhaust,if water or steam is coming out you have this problem..2 start car up remove cap off radiator and rev a bit see if any bubbles or it pushes fluid up.if this is your problem a head replacement or rebuild is you only option

Oil in coolant

Sounds like an intake gasket leak. Oil can leak into the cooling system without coolant leaking into the oil.

Hi looks like your head gasket is gone, check if oil in water or water in oil, oil will go grey in colour, and open rad, when cold, check for signs of oil. But not good symptoms, sorry!

I have a 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood that I just bought. I changed the oil about 500 miles ago, and now when I checked it, the oil is half gone. I don't see any leaks, and it's not blowing smoke.

check your coolant. If the coolant is whitish and milkshake texture then you have a failed head or head gasket. If the oil is not getting into your coolant then you are either burning it or leaking it since there is not another way for the oil level to drop. Hope this helps.

Why does my 2000 pontiac grand am leak coolant

coolant leaking could come from different areas, i would 1st start checking for leaks around the thermostat area, this is normally where the top radiator hose connects too, then i would look at the water pump area to see if any coolant is visable on the outside of it, also check your heater hoses for leaks too, some cars have even had antifreeze leaks coming from the freeze plugs, which are installed into the engines block, they are normally on the sides of the engines. don't forget to check out the radiator, a good way to find antifreze leaks is after you drive the car for a while, and then park it, and then put a large piece of cardboard under your car, make it large enough to go from the radiator to at least the windshield area, if it leaks then, you will be able to see what area the antifreeze has leaked.

My 2009 H2 is idling rough for 2-5 min with a cool start, after 2 weeks of doing this, its now blowing white smoke on the first start of the day for 2-5 mins, after that it runs normally, I have NO...

My guess would be a leaking intake or head gasket. Water in the cylinder(s) is shorting the spark plug until the temp comes up on the engine. The white smoke is the coolant being burnt off. check your coolant level it may be low.

2002 malibu runs hot.

Sounds like you have a faulty head gasket or maybe a cracked head. This can cause overheating and the check engine light to come on.The code for the o2 sensor is probably caused by coolant getting into the exhaust system and coating the sensor. The coolant fan may work but it cannot remove enough heat from the rad to make the engine cool off.Try some engine coolant stop leak to see if it will help. This maybe only a temperary fix.Let me know if you need more.MOE

Low coolant and oil smells like gas. No white/blue

let your car idle go back to the tail pipe if it seems to be steaming alot , and or smells like antifreeze then you have a head gasket problem or a gasket leak alowing in directly into your engine

Engine oil mixed in coolant

this would more than likely be cause by a bad cylinder head gasket. I would bet 89% this is your problem.
