there is no reset switch on the fuel pump , what is it doing if your car is not starting because of fuel problem you pump is bad , it is in the gas tank ,before you change it get your fuel pressure checked on the fuel rail this will tell you if it is good or not
First check coolant level. Low coolant can cause overheating. If you can see the leak, clean the engine with a degreaser and then look for the leak. If you find it, buy a shop manual or go to the library and see if they have an online shop manual.
Change the water pump when it starts leaking or, if you have over 100,000 miles on the car, and you are doing additional work like changing the timing belt. If it will give you peace of mind, go a head and change it. Otherwise, leave it in the car and let it work.
If you have a V-6 engine. The timng belt is located under the timing belt cover on the fornt of trhe engine. The water pump is driven off the timing belt. If you change the water pump, you should change the timing belt at the same time.
