check battery and alternator and connections ------this code goes pops when battery disconnected [ from starter replacement? ] https://autoservicecosts.com/obd2-codes/p1633/
I don't think so. The starter has a solonoid on it. There isn't a relay involved. Check for power at the small wire on the starter when the key is in the "start" position. If there is power there ,the starter is bad. If not, could be neutral safety switch or ignition switch.
Disconnect negative battery cable from battery first. Raise vehicle and use jack stands. Starter will be in front of engine by oil filter. There should be 13 mm nut on the hot wire on Starter solinod. then 2 13mm bolts holding starter up.
Have you thought of maybe checking the ignition switch that starts your vehicle. A faulty ignition switch will give you the same symptoms as a dead battery or a faulty starter. I hope this helps you out.
Hello. Begin by cleaning the battery cable connections with emery cloth. do both ends, the ends at the battery posts and the other ends too. Now make sure everything is really tight and try it again. If you still get the clicking sound, your starter is bad and will need to be replaced. A rebuilt starter is a good choice.
check your battery and charging system. take your battery out and go have it tested. once a good battery is in place, have the charging system tested and make sure you have sufficient charge(13.3-14.5v is standard).its getting cold out there people and batteries tend to fail now most of all because of how we treated them in the summer.
