Am/fm cd player installation

Good morning I bought a am/fm cd player for my 2000 sunfire 4 door and I just found out the alarm system goes through my radio i know there is a wire kit for this. Should I have it installed at a dealer ship. My friend knows how to do it.

There is a pripheral that makes it so u do not have to relocate your factory stereo in rour trunk go to any futureshop or bestbuy and they should have it in stock it retails for $150 cnd dollars

Even after buying the wiring kit I still had problems. I have to have the factory deck wired up in the trunk and my car died after the instalation. Turns out you have to unhook the battery while doing the instalation as there is some kind of memory chip that gets buggered up. Found that out after the second install :(

Hi,I just bought Toyota caldina gt 4 2003,after 2 days I found CD player is not working as fm am working and can listen radio, but only CD player not working, from

You could try a cleaning cd and see if that helps. You may need to replace the cd player. Fortunately new car radios are pretty inexpensive. You can find a cleaning cd at a local Dollar General for under $10. It is worth a try.

Antitheft system keep goes on so i can't start my vehicle

It is telling me to lock the doors with the key, this will arm the system, then you should be able to unlock the doors after about 3 seconds and this should disarm the system. Also, if it doesn''t try unlocking the passenger side door or the back glass with the key. Let me know you must wait at least 3 seconds before unlocking back glass or passenger door to disarm system once one door is unlocked without setting off alarm it is disabled. hope this helps

Use the remote to deactivate alarm or use key in the door lock to unlock the door. The problem you had is when you lock the door and the alarm activates it must see a disarm signal or else it thinks someone broke the window and used the switch to open the door.

Sunfire alarm sounding for no reason

Focusing on switches: Start with the door switches. Pull the fuse for the dome lights. Reset the alarm. Does it sound off? The alarm feeds off the dome light fuse. Driver door is first: Often they wear out first and give us grief like this. Unscrew and disconnect the switch first. Replace the fuse. Carefully close the door so you don't loose the wire in the frame(attach a string to it so you can fish it back out if it falls in). Reset the alarm. Does it sound off or not? If it does, it is other than the switch or the passenger door switch (if a 2 door or 2 other passenger switches if a 4 door). Repeat process until the switch is found or all are eliminated. Switches are cheap, so replacing them will not break the bank. Disconnect the fuse again, unscrew the bad switch. Unplug it. Plug in the new. Screw it back in place. Reconnect the fuse and try it again. Repeat as needed until you have either found it or just limited your search area. Most often you will stumble upon it- chaffed wires, look plugs, bad switches). Yes, there is more, but I see this as the usual suspect. If you go back into the alarm, disconnect the alarm first, then observe the dome lights with the fuse in. It just may be a faulty control in the alarm, which is out of my territory. Let us know what you find, but start with the smallest things first. Good Luck!

Alarm not chirping dash not working

The problem is in the ignition cylinder lock.
The body control module (BCM) is what controls the theft deterrent system on the 2000 Pontiac Sunfire.
It can be reprogrammed, but is complex to do.

Anti theft alarm goes off when no one is around mostly at night or early morning sometimes when driving door locks keep locking and unlocking and interior lights go on

You have a short in your Electrical system where the alarm connects to your power assist system or a short in your alarm. Pull the fuse for the alarm and if the problem stops it is the alarm if it continues you will need to trace the connections and make sure they are secure and protected by taping them up.

turning left and stalling sounds like your power steering pressure switch is bad.as for other problem try unlocking drivers door using the key this should reset the factory alarm. also make sure you didn't miss a wire when reconnecting bat. look for 12gauge red wire near bat. this goes to computer if not connected car will crank but not start.
