what year Patriot?
on most cars the book below tells you how to back up the code.
(my jeep 08 DON't and that sucks)
only this (pdf searched)
"NOTE: The radio sales code is located on the lower right
side of your radio faceplate."
1: the operators guide says,
see what master tec says.
Do a web search using your browser for "Car Radio Codes". There will be several site results which will provide the code you need - cost is usually £10 or $US16, email your radio details and code is back to you within a very short time.
The security codes are meant to be different for each individual radio,
so you need the code for your specific unit. If the original owner
didn't keep a note of it you'll have to get it through DaimlerChrysler.
Just give them the serial number of your radio (you may need to do this
through your local Jeep dealer).
If your lucky the code may have been written on the back of the manuel. If not and may not have been set try 0000, and if that does not work and your good with the dealer they may help you reprogram the radio free of charge since they are always disconnecting batteries.
You could always log on to www.radio-code.com and they can help you unlock your radio.
Good luck and hope this helps.
