The drain plugs were eliminated soon after can manufacturers changed from metal to plastic radiators. You'll need to loosen the clamp on the lower radiator hose and then remove the hose in order to drain the coolant. Be careful not to break the hose mount when doing this, or you'll need to replace the entire radiator. If the hose shows any wear or signs of fatigue, you'll be better off cutting it length-wise and peeling it off, and then installing a new lower hose.

How do You change the antifreeze on a 2002 Volvo S40 1.9t

There will be a drain plug in the bottom of the Radiator so you can drain the old Coolant out. Close the drain plug and refill from the Coolant Tank on the inner fender well. Fill it with the engine off then start it up and finish filling to the full line on the coolant tank.

Howtodrainatifreeze

You can drain the antifreeze at the radiator drain plug, which is located on the lower front of the radiator on the drivers side. If your model doesn't have the drain plug, then remove the lower radiator hose and drain. Make sure you have something in place to catch the antifreeze and always drain antifreeze after the car has had time to cool off.

How change antifreeze in car raditor?

At the bottom of the radiator there is a plastic knob this is the petcock drain plug it can be hard to see and turn so you may need to jack up the front of the car a little to crawl under the front and look at the bottom of the radiator but if you can reach it from the top and turn it with a pair of pliers do so that way this will allow you to drain the radiator, remove the radiator cap if it has one to allow air to pass through radiator, if it has no radiator cap remove the cap on the radiator expansion reserve tank, after all antifreeze is drained turn petcock drain plug back in till tight then refill raidiator with 50% water 50% anti freeze mixture, start car and top off antifreeze run the car or drive for ten minutes then top off antifreeze.

Locate engine block antifreeze drain plug

There is a 3/8" square head plug above the starter. This drains the left bank of the block and can be replaced with a 1/4" pipe valve.

Radiator flush

Drain plug is on the bottom of the radiator. Should have a tab for the plug. PLUG DOSN'T COME ALL THE WAY OUT, you're only able to twist it so far. IF your confused, just undo lower radiator hose and have a big bucket. The anitfreeze you put in your car has to be a TOTAL mixture of 50/50. You can buy premixed 50/50 for a HIGHER price! If you don't want to pay that much, you can get STRAIGHT ANTIFREEZE. If you have an extra gallon jug around the garage, fill half with water and half with STRAIGHT antifreeze and tada! You got 50/50 antifreeze. Hope this helps ya.
