This depends on which part. Salvage yards have sets of books called Hollander Interchange Manuals that cost big bucks, but give all the info you seek. See if you can find a friend with access to a set, or beg info on individual parts from a salvage yard that might just have what you need.

wants it all ! books and video's now that is a dream.
a video of what, taking whole car apart or back together?
you can search youtube, just as good as use.
no country stated, so will answer, USA (not canada)
first place is under that hood the vacuum map, usa epa required
map with spark gaps and timing.
next is alldata.com log in and read, (usa only)
spectrum is a real rare car. very rare.
Isuzu I-Mark (in snakes skins (gm)
the had 2 systems here.

Head lights Dont work on my 1989 geo spectrum what could be wrong


spectrum?

Fuses. check fuses first.
both head lights dead.? hi and low and flash.
and engine runs perfect.? as does all other electrics.????????

Check all fuses, and main fuses as well as ignition switch and relays.

Have 1989 geo spectrum,fan not running,but disconnected run hot it works,pulled relay condensor fan relay gm94109148 what other parts I can ck to cause fan not to work.


I am having the same issue with my '89 Spectrum. However, I lost the heater fan, gauges, and dummy lights at the same time. All fuses are good. (?) Did you have any success replacing the thermostat?

No problem. Just want to know the fuel tank capactiy for 1989 Geo Spectrum 1.5 liter engine, 5-speed manual tranny, 4 door, no air conditioning.


For Fuel Capacity in 2-Door and 4-Door 1.5L...

* Tank (US gallons) 11.10

* 5-Speed Manual Overdrive 37 / 41 mpg

How to check timing marks


Below is an illustration of the timing belt alignment.

GEO BRAKE LIGHTS DOES NOT TURN OFF WHEN CAR IS TURNED OFF


there is a spring on the brake pedal that activates a switch that makes the brake lights go off. spring or brake on off switch may need to be replaced
