We had this same problem it'd seem to jump or shift hard into 3 gear. We took it into the shop and they told us it was a shift or speed sensor and there are two of them A and B. Only one went out in this case and they said that usually when one goes the other one goes within a few weeks. We had them only replace the bad one. (2 years later it appears it's happening again. So maybe the other one went out.)

Gear ratio problem is due to either an internal clutch failure or an
incorrect gear ratio calculation due to faulty input or output speed
sensor signals. It is possible that you had speed sensor problem to
begin with, or the transmission was failing to begin with, which if
this were the case, you can't just install new clutches and call it
fixed. This is considered overhaul time. It's also possible that a
stuck shift solenoid caused the gear ratio error because the
transmission was unable to complete the shift into the gear the PCM
expected. There should have been some indication that the transmission
was failing (assuming it was) before just arbitrarily replacing shift
The second gear only condition is the transmission in limp mode because of the gear ratio error it detected. The 'two humps' you describe sounds like a slipping issue or incomplete gear engagement.
