Question about 1994 Toyota Pickup

1 Answer

Tailights You wont believe it but not long ago I had the complete taillights on my pickup stolen in the night, I ordered some used ones and I got them today but they don't fit, My question is this, is there some thing that goes on ahead of the light fixture as it is a very close miss and if something goes on ahead of it it might fit.

Hi there....theres always a mounting bracket that should exist....ok try placing the tailight, the correct side left/right onto its position and check the holes..... guess they dont match-up, If its the correct lights you bought and dont line-up to the holes on the vehicle, then you need that mounting bracket

I have a 2002 Toyoto that headlights, tailights and instrument lights went out

check fuzes then look for burned out taillights as the taillights are usually conected to the instument pannel, the manufacturer might have also included the headlights in the circut.

Headlights are cutting in and out on my 1997 chevy s10 and I don't know where to find the fuse ?

Not a regular fuse for headlights. Usually a relay that trips if it overheats and resets when it cools off. Often under the hood. Probably means you have a short circuit somewhere. A hot wire touching ground , often at rear of vehicle, Are your tailights still on ? If headlights and taillights go off together then problem is definately a short.

How do i replace the taillight bulb located in the trunk lid

I am going to try to help. If I am not mistaken you will need to remove carpet in the area of the tailights. There will be 10mm nuts exposed that will need to be removed. I also believe that there may be some wing nuts that may need to be removed instead of nuts. ONce these are removed the whole lens should pop out from the outside. You will see the wiring.

Taillights will not work, but turn sig, brakelights work, fuses are all good

Some makes and models have different taillight bulbs and brakelight bulbs. in other words your turn signals and brakelights are on one bulb and the tailights are on another, or they have multiple filaments and one of them could be bad

Tailights only work on directional and brakes ,no running lights

Usely dash lights and taillights are on the same fuse, if you don't have dash lights you won't have tailights. If you got dash lights than you could have blown bulbs or maybe a bad headlight switch.

Taillights wont burn

You'll have to use a 12vdc test light and start probing for power with tailights on, and I'd work from tailight & go forward. You did check all your fuses right?

How do i remove the tailights?

inside the boot, remove the pastic covers which give access to the lights. Then unscrew the light clusters -some fixings are difficult but not totally inaccessible- and remove the taillights cluster.

cover the whole housing with a quality bath or shower silocone sealant and re-assemble.

worked for me - 1 year free !
