when engaging 4x4, the orange light from the centre diff lock flickers, the light does not want stay on full time. You can feel that the transfer is locked.

On my dash of my 3liter v6 1995 pajero there are four greenlights for to show when four by four are ingage.the two front greenlights keeps flashing even when its not in four by four

Flashing super select 4wd lights most often occur when the front differential automatic disconnect is not engaging /dis-engaging when you select/deselect 4x4 drive. Causes are:

- front differential sensor switch is damaged or faulty
- actuator rod/shaft jammed / seized (perhaps sand/mud/dirt)
- vacuum lines leak/popped off fittings
- vacuum solenoid valves (2no.) either maybe faulty
- electrical wiring connection issue (ecu/solenoids/switch)
- combination of the above

My 2003 pajero exceed turbo diesel A/t temp keeps coming on while i am towing a caravan so I stop /wait switch on & go then stop later & keep repeating till I reach my destination approx 2hrs...

According to what you have mentioned it seems that the weight is far heavier than normal. But as a test I would suggest you test vehicle without towing anything behind. See if there is any difference in temp. Hope this helps.

Could the wire to the temperature sensor have been broken or become disconnected?
Not sure about this model of vehicle, but often these lights come on when they go open circuit.

I have a pajero io 3 doors, model 2000. the light for 2W/4WD is always blinking (the upper 2 lights). i dont know why it come like this, i need ur suggestion for this

Hi, you will need to take it to mitsubishi dealer and have them scan. But it sounds like o ring in 4 wheel drive has busted. Does it still go in and out of 2 and 4 wheel drive? If it does it is safe to drive with blinking...if not it may do alot of damage.

Unable to engage 4wd 1993 pajero

Do the 4 wheeldrive lights in the middle of the instrument cluster flash when you've selected 4 Wheel Drive?. Have you tried move forward with the transferbox lever to 4 Wheel Low on a NON-Asphalt/Tarmac surface[ie, dirt road/trail. Sometimes on a Gen 2 Pajero/Montero that hasn't had the 4 Wheel selection used in awhile, do this trick, before moving the lever back up to 4 Wheel High[with no center diff lock] seems to free up a sticking t-box. Also, make sure all your vacuum hoses for the front axle connection system are attached to their metal pipes or solenoids, esp. the main connection at the engine[your source of vacuum for the system.]

1992 mitsubishi pajero A/T temp light comes on after driving.

you need to change the sensor by the sound of it,but is fluid level ok?? start vehicle and push handbrake on hard, then chock drive wheels and put vehicle in reverse .Now check transmission level could be low causing the overheating of the gearbox.but i havent a clue where the sensor is in relation to the gearbox ,could it be in the oil cooler on the rad??
