Definatly a dealer mistake ,but as its uk then you have the consumer dept in teh local town hall,Whoever repaired this vehicle was not a qualified mechanic ,so firstly go back to garage and ask nicely ,if that doesnt work then tell them politely that you will go to the consumer office and your technical advisor is a associate member the institute of road transport engineers ,city and guilds motor vehicle technician of london ,and also a member of the illustrious colegio de enginerios a peritos de valencia ,alicante delegation .Also call fords themselves and ask about dealership responsibility ,01 592 3000 .Because it sounds like the mechanic used wasnt a ford trained mechanic ,the faults listed appear to me to be a vacumn pipe leak and the power steering pipe that was replaced hasnt been secured correctly and is vibrating against the AC pipe when the AC is engaged or the ac gas hasnt been recharged correctly if the pipes were removed to allow access as you havent stated the model of the vehicle

It sure sounds like several problems created by the work .. the air conditioning making so much noise might mean damaged bearings caused by over tightening the belt ... or by something touching the clutch/pully while running .. or even a loose belt that they failed to tighten properly .. they could have gotten power steering fluid into the AC clutch .. the air escaping sound sure sounds like a vacuum hose not attached or damaged .. all of these need to be checked by a competent mechanic .. they can all cause other more serious problems .. you should get someone familiar with your type car to listen to see if the sounds are unusual... your description does sound serious enough that they should recheck their work ..

Water leak check:

2. Water leak at air con fan inlet (Accident damage or gasket wear)
3. Water leaking from air con heater pipe (corroded water pipe to/from heat exchanger)

When i came home from work after shutting off my ford ranger i heard some noise that sound like moisture going through pipes. I havent really noticed the sound before but i opened the hood and noticed that...

Most likely it is the air condition pipe that has the condensate (moisture) on the pipe. When the engine has stopped and if the air con has been running you may hear the air con gas/fluid in the pipe.

98 Mitsubishi 3000GT air conditioning does not blow cold

Could be a blockage. Get an air-con specialist to blow the lines out. Check for any leaks from the rubber pipes. The twisting nature of AC pipes in cars can perish and if you have heard a blow out (like a tire blowout) the air con might have blown through a pipe.

Any leaves trapped in the windshield/hood gutter?

Normally when you press the A/C button when the car is running you should hear a noise when the compressors clutch engages after three seconds, if you don't hear the noise, there could be a possibility there is no refrigerated gas pressure in the system, possibly from a leak somewhere, try to find the air-conditioned pipe with black cap screw and I'm screw

OVERHEATING EVERY NOW AND THEN WITH COOLANT COMING OUT OF OVERFLOW BOTTLE

Inspect the following: 1.(typical on these models) Possible cooling system caps leak allowing coolant to escape and air into the system. Replace if leaking (there are 2 caps- one cap on the top LH side of the engine and one on the radiator) 2. Radiator fan- This fan on the V-6s are hydraulic driven via powersteering pump, inspect for fluid leaks and proper fluid levels. (To test fan speed, unplug the switch located on the powersteering pump and rev motor to 2000 rpm fan should pick up speed)have it checked if problematic. 3. Replace the thermostat if this hasn't been done in the last 30,000miles, possible binding or stuck (located on the LH side of the engine, under the alternator and at the back end of the coolant feeder pipe). If these all check out fine, inspect or replace the water pump. To replace the pump it requires timing belt removal and or replacement. Hopefully this helps
