Follow the line from the clutch master cylinder to the transmission and look at the slave cylinder. Do you see a leak anywhere? Pull back the boot on the slave if you have to. If there is a leak (and there should be because you do not just lose fluid from the clutch hydraulics) you will need to replace the faulty component and bleed the system. To bleed the system, get a glass jar, tubing that fits securely on the bleeder valve and the appropriately-sized wrench. After you replace the leaking part, open the clutch master cylinder's reservoir and fill it with brake fluid. Put the box (closed) end of the wrench on the bleeder valve and then put the tubing on and run it into the jar. The shorter the length of this line, the better. Pour enough brake fluid into the jar to submerge the end of the line. Now have someone help you in the car by pumping the clutch pedal. Open the bleeder valve and watch for the brake fluid to start coming out. When it does, close the valve. Have the person operating the clutch pump the pedal a few times and then hold it down. Open the valve and let the fluid run out, then close the valve. Repeat this procedure until no air comes out anymore.

SOURCE: How to clean EGR valve passages in 1993 Isuzu Trooper DOHC V6

You have to the EGR valve (sometimes the Intake manifold to EGR Vlalve line also). After you remove it take a drill bit the about 20 % smaller than the actual hole of the outlet side and rotate the drill bit with your hand to dig out the carbon. Aditionally the line coming from the intake manifold to the EGR valve will clog near the connection to the EGR valve. I use either a single piece of copper wire or the wire that you would use to tie ribar together to clean the line. When your done cleaning take a piece of vacuum line and connect it to the diaphram side and **** on it... then plug the line well with your thumb. Grasp the valve and blow thru it... Air should blow thru it freely. Remove your thumb from the vacuum line and try blowing again.. No air should pass thru the valve.
Then reinstall the valve and start the vehicle with the vacuum line disconnected (but blocked off) Use another piece of vacuum line connected to the diaphram again and **** on the line.. The vehicle should die or run really bad. If it does this then you cleaned it correctly.

no year, no car stated.
cam or fuel pump timing, HARK?
so we must look that up and find answers lacking the first 2 questions?
and we are uSA forum and have no such engine.
so you be timing the cam... ever google that.

Isuzu rodeo front axle acutator has power going to both switches

The 1996 Trooper and Rodeo models were available with a shift-on-the-fly system,

SOF
which incorporates an assembly mounted on the left-hand side of the front axle unit.
the shift-on-the-fly unit includes a housing, an actuator assembly and various Vacuum Switching Valves (VSV).
here it is, SOF.
if the right switch is 12vdc on both pins
then the relay closes, does it?
if it closed the 2 VSV both go HOT,12v. brown-blk wire.
do they?
the left switch below is only for the silly dash light.
then there is the vacuum side.... more details....

I have a 93 trooper with 3.2l soc. it looses power on the 4th and 5th gear.Some times it will pop through the throtle body. i have replaced all 3 coils and fuel pump. spark plugs, wires, fuel filter,...


Attain a vacuum gauge and check the vacuum pressure at the intake manifold, it should reading steady needle at 18 lbs. of vacuum if not there is a vacuum leaking, if it reads 18 and the needle is shaking it may be a valve issue, most vacuum gauges come with a chart that shows the diagnostic procedures for use with vacuum gauges they are an invaluable tool for mechanical diagnosis and they can also tell you if your timing is off.

What size of crankshaft nut would be on a 1995 Isuzu Trooper?


My 91 Rodeo has the GM 3.1 in it, it uses a 18mm bolt. So I'm sure its close to the same size.

I have a '90 trooper, 2.6L and I had the same problem. Although what fixed mine, may not fix yours, as there are many reasons for this condition. What I did:
Check and ensure all vacuum lines are connected, one broken or loose little bugger will cause it to die.
Clogged EGR is another reason this will happen, I replaced mine and it did not cure the problem.
On the pass. fender, under the hood is an elec. controlled air valve. If this goes bad, the truck will die.
I replaced this and it didn't cure my problem.
I finally swapped outt the air switch, connected to the ITEC and the EGR valve went bad. It's a round thing, looks like a top with 3 vacuum ports on it. it's attached to the Valve cover in the back, next to the coil. Once I swapped the this out, the truck ran like a champ.
I can only suggest that you get a Haynes or something like it and test all the different air valves. The part cost me $70 and is only availble through a dealer, and even then , they may have to order it. (Mine did, took 3 weeks to get from Japan) Hope this at least gives you a few places to start.
