When I try to load a dvd in my 07 yukon it tries for a few seconds (but I hear no spinning) then displays "optical error". Any ideas on how to fix or reset this issue?

Thanks for the inquiry.

This is not uncommon with GM and you may still have a warrenty covering your Yukon.

They make cd drive cleaning discs they are just like a normal cd but have a little brush on the bottom for cleaningany dust and debris from inside your drive. You used to be able to find them pretty much everywhere like walmart, radioshack, target so I would give one ofthem a shot I haveused them a few times and they work wonders.

If this doesn't work I would try to push the dealer to help you replace the unit under warrenty.

Kind regards,

TF

How do I know how many rows on my radiator for a 97 gmc yukon. Does it matter if i GET 1 OR 2 ROWS.

If you take off your radiator cap (COLD ENGINE) and look inside with a flashlight count the number of rows, or tubes. Most are 2 rows. Generally, changing from a 1 to a 2 row, or visa verse will not have an impact on your vehicle, but with a large SUV I would say stay with a 2 row or higher.

How do you set the clock in a 1998 Yukon?

There are two procedures and it depends on whether your radio has the option of Auitomatic Tone Control. Here are both ways, with and without Auto tone Control.

Setting the Clock for Systems without

Automatic Tone Control

Press SET. Within five seconds, press and hold the

SEEK right arrow until the correct minute appears on

the display. Press and hold the SEEK left arrow until the
correct hour appears on the display.

Setting the Clock for Systems with

Automatic Tone Control

Press and hold HR until the correct hour appears on the

display. Press and hold MN until the correct minute

appears on the display. To display the clock with the

ignition off, press RECALL or HR/MN and the time

will be displayed for a few seconds. There is an initial

two-second delay before the clock goes into the
time-set mode.

Problem with 2007 yukon

The 3rd row is fairly simple, just pull the lever and make the back lay down on the **** part and the grab the handle that sticks out of the **** part facing you (you do have to take them out of the hatch area) and pull hard as they are heavy 50+lbs, the second row you do just the same except they come through the door on which the side they are on. Good Luck!

Removing the 2nd and 3rd row seats

3rd row, you simply pull the lever which makes the back fold down and then grip the handle located on the bottom and pull toward you slightly hard. They are heavy so it seems like they aren't coming out, just pull hard. second row, you flip all the way up and push with them standing up and they come unhooked. Good Luck! I didn't have any problems, except they are at least 50+lbs!
