My 1998 Ford Expedition want start! I replaced the battery and the alternator. A gentelman started my car with a remote starting device, by connecting the devise to my battery and bypassing the ignition box ( for lack of a better word) He said, my ignition switch, located inside the steering colum was probabley bad. Did you get the wires all back in place? What voltage do you have at the output of the alternator? Measure the voltage with the engine running and not running.

1998 Ford Expendition Eddie Bauer was putting refridgerant then alternator started to spark change the alternator and positive wires but wont charge battery??? The car wont start!!!

maybe too much freon, slug the compresor and things start to move. you may also have had the blow off valve on the compressor blow the excess refrigerant off, and guess what, that stuff will conduct electricity! That's why ac recharging should be left to a licensed pro1

Check to make sure your battery terminal connections are clean and tight. It is the most common cause for losing power like this.

1998 Ford Expedition won't start. Clicking sound when key is turned. Replaced solenoid twice, did not solve the problem

have you checked the battery and alternator to make sure the battery is charged? and the alternator is charging? the clicking usually comes from a dead battery not being able to turn over the motor.

1998 ford exped v8 battery is good, but turn ignition key, battery goes dead. have a clickng sound in fuse box, battery will jump off and stay running but when i turn it off will not start back up

battery is low on voltage, it is either bad or the alternator is bad. after you jump start check volts at the battery . if volts are below 13.00 the alt is most likely bad. if volts are about 14.00 alt is good. battery is bad.

Yes. You have to take the car to a ford dealer and have the new key programmed. This should solve your problem. Good luck.

Draining battery trouble starting

Check fuel pressure should read at least 30psi at the rail with no start. Or you can listen for the fuel pump to kick on when you turn the key. You should hear a high pitch sound if you don't you probably need a fuel pump and filter. How many miles on truck?
