Stalling when comming to a stop.

It's got 232 000km but my battery died on me so I bought a new one and installed it. Started fine but when I came to a stop it stalled on me. My mechanic said that the sensors were used to not having enough power running through them so now with the new battery the sensors arn't working like they should with more power.

Is this true or can it be something else?

No, this would not be the case, but the sensors may be old, so get them replaced and make sure the battery connectors aren't old and corroded, also since there are so many miles on this car, check out the alternator and see if you need a new one.

hope this helps :)
