SOURCE: 1991 vw golf gti- RPM stop working!

judging by the amount of km it has done i would say the rpm drive is faulty, this measures the amount of rotation in the camshaft and shows the "revolutions per minute". when this goes faulty it stops the read out on the dial, so you want to be looking for a device that measures the speed that the engine is turning, if you have, replace it and it should solve the problem

SOURCE: Its ok, to buy 1998 ford taurus wagon, 185 000 km

The 1998 Ford Taurus is a pretty reliable vehicle. Occasional problems on this vehicle are failure of the Camshaft Position Sensor and Actuator; Restricted EGR passages, 3.0L VIN S only; the Differential Pressure Feedback EGR (DPFE) Sensor; the Powertrain Control Module (PCM); and the Secondary Air Injection (SAI) Pump. The cost to repair the Camshaft Position Sensor and Actuator is estimated at $210.00 for parts and $65.00 for labor. The cost to clean out the restricted EGR passages is estimated at $5.00 for parts and $78.00 for labor. The cost to repair the DPFE Sensor is estimated at $76.00 for parts and $32.50 for labor. The cost to repair the PCM is estimated at $320.00 for parts and $65.00 for labor. The cost to repair the SAI Pump is estimated at $200.00 for parts and $52.00 for labor. Other problems on this vehicle are failure of the Transmission Range (TR) Sensor and the Door Ajar Switches. The symptoms associated with failure of the TR Sensor are loss of sound from the radio, loss of power window operation and loss of power steering operation when the car is shifted from park to reverse and/or drive. The cost to repair the TR Sensor is estimated at $40.00 for parts and $39.00 for labor. The cost to repair the Door Ajar Switches is estimated at $22.00 for parts and $45.50 for labor per door and can range from one to four doors. All prices are estimates based on $65 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax. I would advise you to have the car looked at by a trusted mechanic. With 115,000 miles on the odometer it can have some of these problems which are not severe. The money you spend to have it gone over by an expert will be money well spent.

SOURCE: Hi i started my car

The "INSP" message becomes flashing on the dash after 15000 km or after 1 year, depending which one occuring first. Therefore even the car has been serviced at 169000 km and now has 176000 km, it's very probable that one year had passed.

Service reset

Need to find starter relay on 2008 vw toureg

There is no relay in the starter system, there is a battery isolation relay that is triggered when the airbags are deployed in a crash, it shuts down the whole electrical systsm. You can look at the whole function of the electrical system at the pdf file from VW that I have attached http://www.volkspage.net/technik/ssp/ssp/SSP_298_d1.pdf

Dealer replaced Battery in VW Toureg-now Homelink won't work.

They screwed up something !! Get in touch with the Volkswagen Regional Rep in your area.

VW technicians hate working on VW's to start with.

I have a VW too, I feel your pain. I was charged $600.00 for 6 spark plug wires, so I found an independent for future repairs.

Hi, this is a problem with the blend motors, in the dashboard, there is a recall at vw for the heater flaps making a noise and this may also cure your problem, give them a call.
