SOURCE: oil change light

Turn the key on. Observe the odometer. Is "ODO" displayed? If not, push the trip meter button until "ODO" is displayed, with the total mileage travelled shown.
Turn the key off.
Push & HOLD the trip reset button until advised to release it.
Turn the key to "ON" (do not start engine)
Observe the ODO display.
You should see 5 dashes, then 4, then 3, then 2, then one, and finally, five zeros.
The original mileage that you observed should be redisplayed.
Release the trip reset button.
The proceedure is now complete.

SOURCE: where is fuel filter located at on a 2007 toyota

The fuel filter is located in the fuel tank. TO access it, remove the rear seat, and remove the access panel to expose the top of the tank. Remove the top seal, and the whoe assembly comes out as a unit.

SOURCE: 2005 Toyota Corolla Verso 2.0 d4d. Fuel filter change

my toyota corolla d4d 2.0 fuel filter light keeps coming on. when this happens it is my understanding that
the car may not start, it does not pick up speed and there could be a leakage of fuel. but none of this is happening everything seems fine

Lately my solution seems to be, check your battery for low voltage to the ecm. I was given this tip and I saved two cats, alternator, injectors, fuel filter and pump. A new battery fixed everything and the false trouble codes. And yes my head lights and tail lights were acting crazy too. It costs nothing to check and it wil the price of a battery if it's the problem.

Mitsubishi L200 alternator over charging

The alternator produces current but it is also accompanied by a voltage regulator circuit to prevent overcharging. That is the area that needs addressing to resolve your anomaly.

I have a GMC Safari van and I have changed the battery and the alternator, It will start from a cold start but won't run long and shuts off. The battery will hold a charge and I have check the alterna

typically if the alternator is bad, when the engine is running and you pull off the positive cable from the battery it will remain running. Who checked the alternator for you? It could be that it is putting voltage out but no amperage. If it's running at idle and u turn on the headlights, are they bright or dim? It could also be that your battery has such a low charge in it that it needs to be fully charged before the electrical system can be checked properly. Autozone and O'reilly's will check your system for free. Good luck

97' nissan pick-up started dying while driving air bag light came on then hesitating finally died thought it was battery . changed battery worked fine for two days then same thing . took alternator off...

This is just a suggestion that may fit the symptoms. It sounds like you are not getting fuel at times which could mean that your fuel pump is supplying fuel, but your in line fuel filter is getting clogged and not letting fuel pass to the injectors. The fuel that has mandated alcohol in it is highly hydroscopic and picks up a lot of water that ends up in your tank and mixes with the rust that it causes on the steel tank. That gunk is sucked up by the pump and under pressure blocks your fuel filter after a while, and is so impacted that it cuts off the fuel flow stalling the engine. If you let it sit for a while, then the impacted debris settles down in the bottom half of the filter allowing the fuel to flow, but under pressure it builds up at the exit port again. It could be as simple as changing the fuel filter.

My pontiac transport cuts out i replaced the fuel pump and the battery goes dead after awhile new battery now while driving it dies like a fuel problem new fuel filter too please help

Check the alternator for voltage output, worn belt and belt tensioner.

A health alternator should be produce 13.6-14.8V.

Any less it will put a drain on the battery.
(example: fuel pump,fans and lights)

Base on what you changed already,I recommend you to

1)inspect the tensioner wear indicator (two arrows, lines or dots) if they coming close the it's time to change the tensioner.

2)check the for worn belt. Look for cracks on the belt.

3)charge up the battery and monitor the voltage.

4)get the alternator check.
Most alternator can go up to 100,000 miles.
Some auto part store has a portable battery + alternator test.

Trooper will not excelerate. it only kicks in

the car will not accelerate, check distributor unit, wires, cap and rotor making sure they have clean contact between the pole. test coil making sure you have strong 12V. Check air mass flow sensor, this unit also connected to ECU unit and also control the shifting along with transmission rotation sensor, both work in sync with one another. Check fuel pump for proper pressure my disconnecting the fuel line from the fuel filter, cover the line with a pieces of clothes, using your thumb, apply it on top of the fuel line and have a friend turn engine over, make sure you have the fuel line pointing downward away from your face. feel the pressure of the fuel pump does get weak over time and loose some pressure. if changing replacing fuel pump good idea to also replace fuel pressure regulator. Check fluid in tran mission making sure it has proper oil level. being 1990 im sure it has over 100k, I would have the tranny flush and filter change with new oil. Its good idea to have tranny flush every 75-100k especially SUV. tranny pressure sensor may need replacing, sometime it get clogs up with wast particles from gasket and worn filter. Battery light come on one awhile, have your alternator check, weak or faulty alternator will also cause battery light to come on.

sounds like a fuel problem to me , could also be bad fuel ? have you check the following: fuel cap on properly, fuel filter changed , Check fuse relay. also would be a good idea to change the battery if it is still the original one.

02 yukon died on freeway electric problem or fuel

When you said checked the fuel filter, did you mean changed the filter?? And does the Battery hold 12 volts?? Check the battery to make sure it has 12 volts. If you have a second car, take the alternator off and bring it to a auto parts store like Auto Zone and they can test it free of charge and battery too. Change the fuel filter, if both are good then check all the fuses and relay, Pay attention to the fuel pump fuse and ECM fuse. If everything has is good then it's going to be a bad fuel pump, which is located in the gas tank. That requires to dropping the tank to get to the fuel pump. Good luck and hope this helps.
