NOTE: Chk all relays and circuitry before pinpointing a fuel pump failure!! Running out of fuel may have burnt the fuel pump out. The fuel pump runs constantly when the engine is fired or cranked, it also utilizes fuel to keep the fuel pump from heating up. W/O fuel, the pump runs and heats up quickly and usually fails!!hopefully this helps!!

Ford 2001 f250 v10, ran out of gas, filled tank and still won't start

check for fuel pressure at fuel rail if no pressure or low pressure check and change fuel filter while ya have it off or it could be relay switch that would be the least expensive place to start good luck

My Excursion stopped several times on freeway

If your Excursion has the 7.3L Diesel, what I first suspect is the Ford recalled item Cam Position Sensor (CMP sensor). If your nearby Ford dealership has not replaced it for free for you, then make an appointment and take the car in to have the sensor replaced. If this does not solve your stalling problem, come back to FixYa and I will assist you further.

pressure washing wouldent be the bet thing for your engine you dont want water getting into your harnesses but go to your local auto parts store that carrys Lucas and go buy some Lucas injector cleaner it should make a diffrence
and if you bought your gas from a gas station that has slow buissness that could be your problem to
less buisness = gas is being held in the tanks for longer= longer it sit builds moisture in the tank = bad gas
hope i could help
