How to install 02 sensor for a 1999 chevy tahoe

unplug the electrical connector, then using a 7/8" wrench or O2 sensor socket turn the sensor counter clockwise to remove. sometimes you have to use a torch and heat the area around it to loosen the sensor. be aware sometimes the threads pull out of the exhaust that will have to be repaired to install new O2.

Need to change the O2 sensor where is it exactly in a 1999 dodge caravan need a picture if possible

The O2 sensors should be on the exhaust system below the exhaust manifold. You will need a special socket with a slot in it to replace it. Be sure to spray WD-40 on it (WHEN IT IS COOLED OFF) to help loosen it.

Need to replace oxygen sensor

TO REPLACE OXYGEN YOU NEED A SLOTTED SOCKET AND A TUBE ANTI SEIZE COMPOUND. MOST OF THE TIME NEW OXYGEN SENSOR ALREADY HAS ANTI SEIZE COMPOUND USED ON THE THREADS.TO REPLACE OXYGEN SENSOR FIRST CRANK VECHICLE FOR A FEW MINUTES SO YOU CAN REMOVE OXYGEN SENSOR MORE EASILY. ONCE YOU GET THE EXHAUST LITTLE WARM.YOU DISCONNECT OXYGEN SENSOR CONNECTOR TAKE SLOTTED SOCKET REMOVE OXYGEN SENSOR APPLY ANTI SEIZE ON OXYGEN SENSOR THREADS THE SCREW IT IN PLACE..WEAR LONG SLEEVES COVERALLS, SAFETY GLASSES KEEP RUST PARTICLES GETTING INTO YOUR EYES. AND LEATHER GLOVES KEEP HANDS FROM CUTS AND EXHAUST BURNS. IF YOU REPLACING DOWN STREAM OXYGEN SENSOR YOU HAVE TO RAISE VECHICLE SUPPORT ON JACKSTANDS. FOR UP STREAM OXYGEN SENSOR YOU CAN REPLACE WITHOUT RAISING THE VECHICLE.REASON I SAY CRANK ENGINE TO WARM UP EXHAUST SYSTEM BECAUSE METAL EXPANDS WHEN HOT THAT MAKES REMOVING OXYGEN SENSOR EASIER. IF YOU DONT CRANK VECHICLE THE COLD CAUSES METAL TO SHRINK MAKING HARDER TO REMOVE OXYGEN SENSOR.POSSIBLY DAMAGING SENSOR THREADS WHILE TRYING TO LOOSEN SENSOR FROM EXHAUST MANIFOLD OR PIPE. YOU CAN BUY SLOTTED SOCKET AND ANTI SEIZE COMPOUND AT ANY AUTO PARTS STORES.

Where is the oxygen sensor at and is it hard 2 get to

Most of these vehicles have 3, one on each exhaust pipe, left and right, and a third "downstream" just before the cat. converter. They screw into a "bung" (threaded nut) welded to the pipe. They kind of look like a spark plug with a wire, or 2, coming off of it that plugs into a harness near by. If you had the check engine light on the code usually tells you which one it is.

How do I replace the bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor in my 2003 hyundai santa fe?

You will need a 02 sensor SOCKET

Remove it like you would a spark plug

Reinstall new o2 sensor with a little anti seize compound ON THE THREADS ONLY DO NOT GET ANYTHING ON THE SENSOR TIP OR YOU WILL RUIN IT.

Torque to specified value for your model

Reconnect o2 sensor wire

Done.

It should not be too hard but there are special sockets to clear the wire, you might get by with a wrench of the correct size, they are either side of the bulge in the front exhaust pipes (the cat converters) and either side of the transmission, are you sure you need all 4?

How do you replace an O2 sensor in a 2001 Ford Tarus

Be sure the exhaust is not extremely hot! I suggest using a good quality O2 sensor socket or a 7/8" flare nut wrench. These two will give you the best grip without slipping off. Once it loosens, slowly work it back and forth using a lubricant such as WD-40 or Liquid Wrench. This should keep the threads from being damaged, as they will be very rusted from extreme heat and weather. Take your time. Once removed, it is a good idea to use a thread chaser or cleaner to remove the remaining rust. It is a tool with the identical threads as the sensor. You could also use a tap of the same size. Someone you know might have one, unless you are friends with a mechanic at a good repair shop. Next, be sure there is anti-seize compound on the threads. There should be a sufficient amount applied from the factory. This will make the threads easier to tighten, and make the sensor easier to remove for the next time. Be sure there is no anti-seize on the portion that protrudes into the exhaust stream. It can foul and ruin a new sensor. Once you have threaded the unit into the exhaust pipe, tighten to specifications. DO NOT overtighten. The old threads can easily be stripped out. If you don't have a torque wrench, just tighten it as you would a sprark plug. It won't fall out. Plug in the sensor, and test drive to check your work. Also be sure there are no wires contacting the exhaust pipe.

Oxygen sensor

Get new O2 sensor. Jack car up off the ground, and safety block.

Allow exhaust system to cool.

Spray PB Blaster on O2 sensor.
Get O2 sensor socket, attach to wrench, grit teeth, and turn to loosen.

Install new O2 sensor.

Connect wiring.

Remove safety blocks, put car back on ground.

2007 Suzuki sx4 engine light on after oil changed, How to turn it off?

The solution is that when the oil filter is removed, oil gets on the O2 sensor and ruins it. Must cover the O2 and that keeps the oil off. To keep the check engine light off, is to replaced the O2 sensor. Problem solve. Later on sx4's they move the O2 in a different spot. I work on Suzuki cars. Don
