Sounds like you need a fuel pump. Please be advised there is a filter/regulator sitting next to the tank which you should replace also. I think the filter/regulator can be changed without dropping the tank so you may want to try that first.
Hello, Youprobably have a leaking water pump, The water pump is on the backside of that end of the engine. You need a special tool to change the water pump. Thank you.
well if your talking about the 4 cylinder 2.2 liter,,youre gonna need a special tool that saturn has,its a holding fixture tool for the timing chain because the chain drives the water pump and you must remove the water pump pulley from the pump but you must keep the chain in place with this holding tool,it keeps the chain and pulley in place,,,,youre gonna have to find that tool either from the saturnvservice shop or maybe aftermarket, the only other way to do it is remove all the timing chains and then remove pump,,,,
It's not the bulb that is hard to change, it is GETTING to the bulb.
Best advice is to pick up a Haynes or Chilton's manual at a auto parts store or "e-book", and follow the instructions contained. You can do it, just take your time. No special tools needed.
View the video on You Tube by Richpin06a. It was very helpful. I don't do many repairs on cars, but with the help of this video, I replaced the waterpump on my Saturn last weekend. It was easy, and I didn't have to remove the engine.
