Question about Volkswagen New Beetle

Open Question

2005 beetle ac was blowing warm air, found one of the cooling fans on the radiator to be bad so replaced both. now 30 amp fuse in fuse block on top of battery blows when ac is turned on. we bypassed the fuse block and wired a 30 amp inline fuse in, still happens. we found with the car off we replace the fuse and if we turn the car on with the ac in the on position it wont blow the fuse, if we then turn the ac off and back on not letting the fans come to a complete stop it wont blow, but if the fans come to a complete stop or we start the car with the ac off then turn it on the fuse blows. no visual melting, corrosion or heat damage to the fuse block. it also seems like the fans only run on hi speed. any help would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: 30 amp ignition fuse in engine compartment blows at start

It sounds like a bad ignition switch or something is grounding out.Try to isolate the problem to key positions.See if the fuse blows when you turn the key to ACC(when your dash lights come on without starting)If the fuse does not blow then when you go to start it and it blows it could be one of many problems, the more common ones could be ignition switch, wiring, starter relay, starter soleniod,or perhaps the starter itself is shorting out, this can sometimes happen when a starter goes bad.

SOURCE: radiator cooling fan 30 amp. fuse keep blowing

The fan may run with jumper wires but if it''s blowing the 30 Amp Maxifuse it's needs a new or used fan motor. It's pulling too many amps.I have almost never seen a fan relay concern.Only other thing you may check is the wiring down near the fan shoud I have seen the 2 wires get loose from the conduit & melt onto exhaust manifold.Hope tHis Helps

you have wasted money on fixing what has not consequence on the oproblem
overheating is from 4 things
1--- no/insufficient water in the cooling system--air lock in system- fill radiator to cap level and bleed air out
2--blocked radiator cores -- have a radiator shop do a flow test
3-- fan not working--no power from relay, ECM. coolant temp sensor , fuses-- have an auto electrician check the circuit
4--- blown head gasket /cracked head-- have a compression test done

1998 Toyota Camry 4 cyl.only blows warm air from heater when car is unning for say ten min. When I start driving the temp gage goes down to cold and blows cool air, no heat. I changed thermostat and...

Your radiator cooling fan will only come on when the engine temp has reached the point where it needs to have air forced through the radiator and thus bring engine heat back down to safe operating range. If your heater is not working check to make sure the fresh air vents aren't stuck open (are the controls stiff or not going all the way across?) check also that the heater shutoff valve lever which is usually situated on the firewall at the rear of the engine and can be found easily by tracing the hoses back from the thermostat housing aren't bent and/or seized up.

WELL AC COMPRESSOR HAS TO BE WORKING IF YOU GETTING COLD AIR.YOU HAVE FUSE/RELAY BOX AT THE LEFT END OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ALSO YOU HAVE FUSE PANEL UNDER HOOD IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON TOP OF BATTERY.CHECK THE 30 AMP FUSES ONE CONTROL THE COOLANT FAN CONTROL MODULE IN WHICH OPERATES THE AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH CIRCUIT AND AC PRESSURE SWITCH.

I have a 2005 Dodge caravan and the engine fan in front of the radiatior is not working. Already replaced the fan. What would you suggest?

Replace the coolant sensor,it turns the fan on when the temp gets to the 218 degree mark, and then it cuts it off.Make sure there is no air in the cooling system,if there is bleed it out.Check for a blown fuse also, and see if the fan will come on with the defrost,or ac,it should come on automatic if the ac is turned on,or defrost,if it does, replace the coolant sensor

Kia over heats when air is on only

your AC cooling fan is not working properly, most vehicle has two fans, one for the radiator and another for AC, both work in sync with one another; if one cooling fan only working it does not produce enough cooling for both radiator and condenser at the same time; by running ac you producing more heat and its cant cool the engine fast enough with one fan so your engine is overheating when running AC. The temperature sensor could be faulty and need to be replace or your fan motor can also be faulty. Check the fuse first and the relay make sure they are not burn out. sensor cost about 30 bucks get it new, relay 35-40 new used 5 bucks at junk yard, fan get it from a junk yard for 25-30 bucks, new will run over 100 bucks. don't run the air and overheat your motor, it can damage your engine or may blow your radiator. if you do run ac watch the temp very closely, don't let temperature get into the red.

I have a 1999 concord, the radiator cooling fan 30 amp fuse keep blowing. I replaced the relays but didn't solve problem

You either have a short in the wiring, or the fans are bad. If you unplug the fans, does the fuse still blow? If not, you need the fans replaced. If so, you have a short in the wiring somewhere.

2003 Suzuki XL7 A/C won't stay on

The low pressure is in the grill by the radiator. The issue your having with it cutting off then on is easily fixed by removing some of the AC coolant. Any ideas on why the rear AC is not working? Is there a seperate fuse for the rear AC? It just blows warm air.
